InterContinental Costa Rica at Multiplaza Mall, an IHG Hotel

We had a lovely stay here and wish we had stayed longer. Breakfast was excellent and fresh; happy hour with cocktails and appetizers was complimentary and delicious. Room was lovely, spacious, clean. A few minor things: the hot tub was only “warm” and only half the jets were working; the sauna was not available which was a bummer (I think it was closed due to renovations).

Breakfast buffet in the morning is well stocked. You can expect typical Costa Rican cuisine such as Gallo pinto and eggs as well as more common meal items such as fruit and yogurt. The rooms are well sized and the beds comfortable. They could do with a little more potent ac but not so much that it detracts from the experience of your stay. The spa is currently under construction but the massages are amazing.

If you're looking to spend some time in water but can't get out of the city this IHG property has a gorgeous pool that is situated just right to avoid being scorched by the sun. The poolside attendants are very attentive and respectful. Towels are provided for guests in a locker out by the pool. Can't forget to mention the jacuzzi !

All in all a great location to stay in if you're looking for proximity to restaurants, shopping(it's right across the street from a major mall with a massive grocery store attached to it), a little r&r and pleasant quality.

True 5 star experience. This place provided a flawless service. The food is absolutely out of this world. The steakhouse was absolutely amazing. The service and food at marketplace was good also, but I’d definitely suggest passing on the steak there and go to the steakhouse. ATM worked flawlessly on the first try and also had its own privacy enclosure. The staff is all super friendly and professional. Amenities are really nice. I’m a huge fan of the bathrooms, and all of the amenities present. The tub was very deep and surrounded by marble. Very quiet and reformed hotel overall. I’ll be staying at this place next time I’m in Costa Rica for sure.

Great hotel - amazing staff and service particularly from Cesar in the market restaurant who was fantastic and so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us and the young man who worked at the pool bar. Excellent all round

Great hotel. I’m a platinum and love visiting this property, staff is super friendly and helpful. Across the parking lot there is a shopping center with everything in it. (Grocery store, atm, pharmacies, barber shop, massage spa).

Great place in San José, the hotel has very good restaurants and services. Despite there are an old and a “new” building, is a good place to stay in.

Great hotel. The shower is refreshing. Breakfast is one of the best I have ever had at a hotel. Staff is pleasant and helpful!

This is my home away from home in Costa Rica. Have been staying here regularly for over 10 years. Great gym and spa, excellent restaurant choices, and great all around service. The service is different than you may expect in the United States, and that is not saying it's bad, it's just CR. The staff is attentive and always take care of you. Things are well appointed, and the lobby bar has great live music many nights without being overpowering. This is the best place to spend your first night in CR to begin your adventure.

Many of the rooms have been updated and the services like spa and gun are under renovation. Looking really good so far!

Top services across everything. I was impressed with how fast the staff caters to your needs, everything is clockwork.
Location is excellent with a shopping mall across the street. Great garden and swimming pools.
The piano player is a must see. On certain nights he plays in the lobby and it is like a free concert.

This hotel was amazing 👏. Everything wad great about it : the swimming pools, the amazing breakfast (with a huge variety of choose). The kindness of the people working in it !

First trip was fantastic (great Ambassador upgrade to Club Suite), second trip started off badly, room category I had booked was not available due to large conference at hotel (it happens). Service recovery was fantastic from the hotel and exceeded my expectations, it is very much appreciated. They went above what they to do.

I am very happy about it this because I love this hotel: First of all the staff from the front desk to the restaurant, bar and the Club lounge are awesome and so nice. The property itself is spotless and extensive with two pools and multiple restaurants on site. We love staying here for a few days after being at the beach.

I stayed at the hotel for 6 days, the service in the restaurants was very good, everyone is always super attentive and helpful, the waiters who work in the pool, mainly Carlos, very good service. They should improve a little more the attention at the reception in the lobby, offer a little more everything that the hotel has and existing packages. Also the beds should be bigger. But overall the service was excellent.

I can't speak for all the rooms at this hotel, but mine was in the tower by the spa and was very nice and in excellent condition. Service is excellent here and the restaurants are all quite good. The pool area is very nice as well.

Top-class hotel chain ° amazing location right near the multiplaza shopping center. Five different high-end restaurants. + spa and swimming pool who are open to the public as well..50$ per a person a day..👏✨ lots of parking space. Nice client experience. Well done.

Stayed in the tower with access to the lounge. Nothing to fault, it’s a well maintained intercontinental hotel. Unlike others I had an excellent experience with valet service. What I particularly enjoyed were the 2 outside pools (one heated) and outside jacuzzi, with very long hours (probably they even tolerate 24 hours), for me that’s a first for a hotel. The happy hour with food in the lounge 6-8pm is very good, as is lounge breakfast (way better than intercon Tegucigalpa), lounge staff absolutely tops. If I had to look for “improvements” it would be the Finnish sauna - but this part of the world is not known for saunas so I consider this unimportant. The main restaurants seem to get busy and can be noisy.

Excellence in every single way. This hotel is way better than the "all included" in Guanacaste or Jacó, and it is next to a mall. The food and drinks are spectacular, and my family and I felt awesome. Congrats to the owner of this hotel. Exceeds expectations.
