Hotel Cocoliso Island Resort

Stayed here a night while scuba diving. An awesome little paradise. The staff was very friendly and patient with our rudimentary spanish. The food was great and the place was beautiful. Would love to come back here in the future. Sure the water pressure in the showers might be lacking but we are on an island that has to ship in water so that's expected.

Our experience at Hotel Cocoliso was fantastic. The room was very comfortable with great A/C. The location was the best on the island in my opinion. The pool bar was one of the highlights.

The food was top notch as well. We had a whole fried Snook/ Robalo poolside. At the restaurant the seafood rice was truly delicious. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.

I had a little incident with a sea urchin around 10:30 PM. My girlfriend Zahirubi was able to find an angel named Franklin. In the hotel lobby he worked for 20 minutes removing the spines lodged in my big toe and brought vinegar to the room moments later.

Overall it was a great experience. We found the a trail which gave us access by foot to the whole island. ]

I stayed here while scuba diving for 3 days. Bajo Perdito is one of my favorite dive spots near the island, plenty of soft coral. The hotel was clean, the food and drinks were good and the staff very kind and helpful. Water pressure in the shower is what I would expect on an island, and speed of service is also what I would expect. Relax, enjoy, there is nowhere to rush off to. I am very refreshed and looking forward to my next adventure. The only suggestion I have is a more eclectic music selection for the restaurant, 4 songs on a loop is not a playlist, that would be an easy change to make too.

Put simply, I was mind blown by this place. I couldn't believe what I was seeing visiting this island and resort, it felt like one of the most dreamlike things I've ever done personally. Whether you're going here with friends for fun, to relax or solo to introspect etc it really is perfect.

Whilst it's not brand new throughout there's something quite special about the fact that it's not and in a way I'm not sure I'd want anything to change about this place. Sometimes old ways are the best. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff really seems unconditional everyday you wake up, that's really not easy to do and yet the staff here perfectly execute service with a smile everyday you're there and they're always looking out for you. The ambient music playing allows you to slip into another world, the food is absolutely beautiful too. Listen to their recommendations but even if you don't it's all fabulous.

I'm missing this place so much, being there pretty much made me cry out of happiness. Evenings by the water feel particularly special, there's just an energy about this place that I can't better describe. So it's a definite recommend from me.

Did not get to experience the rooms but my what a location (here during a snorkeling trip). So impressed by this resort and would love to come back. There is a "mini reef" with many types of fish right in the swimming area, just wonderful.

The staff is what truly makes this place amazing!

We have spent a lot of money on hotels during our travels but the hospitality at Hotel Cocoliso has been something we have never experienced before. Every single person we interacted with was wonderful! They all went out of their way to make sure we were happy, comfortable, and enjoying ourselves, which we did, because of the amazing staff! We also appreciated that they all made an effort to speak English to us as best they could.

From the moment we arrived Andreas greeted us at our boat with a warm smile and welcome. We really appreciated that he took the time to speak to us in English.
He always checked in with us as he passed by to make sure we had fresh drinks and everything we needed to be comfortable and happy during our stay.

David went above and beyond for us, he took the time to get to know us and our preferences, he made an extra effort to ensure we were comfortable and happy.
One of us had an upset stomach near the end of our stay and David was super sweet and went out of his way on his own time to deliver freshly made juice, tea and toast to our room.

Our bed was very comfortable, and all the quarks of being on an island in the middle of the ocean were present. Lots of creatures, which is to be expected, but didn’t hinder our experience! We enjoyed seeing interesting birds and all the natural creatures that live on this beautiful island!

Staying here has felt like a perfect mix between enjoying the best of nature with all the comforts you could want. We did some diving organised on site and just swimming along the hotel cabana section seen crayfish, swam in the fluorescent plankton at night.. and I will recommend the fried fish for dinner!! Service was great and David made sure we had everything we were looking for. I would love to come back and stay here again and explore the islands further !

We went to Cocoliso to stay only half a day and then return to cartagena, as soon as we arrived we fell in love with the place, it is magnificent, so natural so relaxing, we want to thank Osvaldo, Destino, Carmen and all the staff who now do not remember the names well, thanks for the wonderful experience, you were great give a kiss to little Lola🐶♥🇨🇴

This was my second time at this hotel resort and I really enjoyed it again.Also this time it wasn't very busy and there was enough space for everyone, all sunbeds were free and the sea wasn't clogged.Compared to other hotel complexes on this island, this one looks very robust and well built, and the architectural material is very good.There is also a kitchen where you can order from the menu. The staff is very friendly and you will be helped everywhere. Huge Pool is a plus too!

What a gorgeous place. The boat ride to this place was rough. One of the roughest boat rides I've ever taken! Nice done sites. Bring plenty sunscreen. Don't know what I'd do here all day if I started on the island, but one day trip was fun. Nice hammocks. Other islands nearby.

The stay was great; the service and landscape on the island was so ambient. The experience was incredible and unforgettable. As a suggestion, however, I would offer to the costumers thinner pillows.

I spent a really nice weekend in this hotel where the team were very reactive and friendly.

I stayed 3 days and 2 nights with them and I'm already missing it!
The place has a bar, a yummy restaurant, a big pool, a small sand beach and a lake.
The fun starts from the moment you are in the boat with the instructions of Laura and with Mr. Franklin as the guide.
It was such a great experience, the staff is beyond adorable Yeiner, Johan, Jairo, Wendy, Ever are top top people who were always ready to support me in everything I needed.
The food at the restaurant is great! From breakfast to dinner, I highly suggest the "cebiche de camarones" super good! I even tasted a juice from a fruit of the island and Yeiner showed me which fruit is was and brought it to the table.
In the same resort you can book an hour of massages with Mar, my mom had a problem while traveling and Mar not only helped her but went to see her the next 2 days to check if she was OK.
The beach is small, I went to see the beach next to the resort, it was bigger but not as beautiful.
Also you can get local jewelry with Fabrizio and there are some traditional handicraft for sale as well.
Things to improve:
Maybe there should be a karaoke night, when u visit resorts this is always fun with the staff singing from time to time and this is the only missing thing for me.

I really recommend this place to disconnect and to have fun!!!

I can only talk for the day trip, but honestly in my opinion this is the best trip price value wise. We paid 130000 per person and spend a wonderful time there. I really love the bar in the pool! Also the food was really good, something I did not expect in beforehand.

One of the most beatiful places to stay or spend the day. Amazing views and jardin. A complete coctail and food menu at reasonable prices. Totally recomended

Really beautiful scenery, great pool, there is a very nice beach 10 mins away from the hotel, you can walk pretty much the whole island and you can even get a boat and go through a mangrove swamp, food was ok

Visited through day tour and was fun experience. Nice pool, snorkling tour, good drinks! Caribean sea is amazing. Recommend if you visit Cartegena :)

No beaches, but everything else! Great snorkeling areas, multiple pools, swim up bar, great restaurant. Swimming pool is very rare for Isla Grande!
