Our room had an amazing view of the sea, we could even see the sea while laying on the bed. We were in December and it was very calm and peaceful. There were daily tourist in the resort but they were leaving at 3pm, in the evening we were 15-20 people max, it was very relaxing and chill. David (who welcomed us with a drink on the island) was so helpful and friendly! The food and drinks were a bit expensive for Colombia however they were good and having in mind the environment, it was worth it.
It was funny to find that the hotel has a pig as a pet. The only inconvenience was that we had to prove 10 times to 10 different people that we paid.

If you want a destination far from everything with paradisiac beaches, good service, good food, large choice of cocktails and extra comfortable rooms for a good price then this is the place.
The island is super quiet, some tourists with the half a day pass between 11am and 3pm otherwise it’s just the hotel clients.
Have some cash once on the island, some activities are cash only (luminous plancton for example).
Good internet connection on some parts of the island

The resort is located beautifully. Nice white beaches and (very) clear water. The rooms were spacious and the beds were the most comfortable beds we've had so far in Colombia. Staff was super friendly and especially David made sure our stay was wonderful. He even took us on a night dive in his free time to let us experience the plankton at night.

However, keep in mind that the resort allows day guests that visit the resort for a couple of hours. We experienced them being very loud and disturbing the relaxing atmosphere of the resort. Luckily they all leave at the end of the midday :)

We went there to spend the day, we didn't stay over.
The location is just beautiful! The sea is amazing: Cristal clear with astonishing tones of blue and green, white sand.

Food was great, I had a fish served along coconut rice and patacones. Very tasty.

The bemol was a coffee we ordered after since we ask for a bayleys shot and they charged 25.000 cop for that....

Beautiful island friendly staff. There is a language barrier so please make sure to have a translator or translator app. Phone service is sparse so use the wifi. Any drinks consumed during lunch, will have to be paid for prior to leaving. I ordered the paella while I waited for lunch. It was the best pallea I ever had. I had the fish option for lunch and it was fried to perfection. I would definitely go back to this peaceful and serene place.

Awesome, loved this place. Very chill and serene it wasn't crowded so everyone could grab the spot they wanted, sun bed, chairs shade or sunny your pick. The water was beautiful, there are some stray dogs and parrots! But they were cute and friendly. The food was great, service was good although my drink was just okay. Had everything you'd need for an enjoyable day on the beach, wish the tide would let you stay longer because it felt like it went fast but I'd definitely come back. Booking directly with the hotel is cheaper than through 3rd party packages but if you don't speak Spanish it can be tricky.

Great resort with great service. A little rough around the edges but everything else makes up for it. We were caught in a hurricane, stuck on the island and the staff made sure we got back to our hotel in Cartagena safely. Quite an adventure but they took care of us. I would definitely go back again. The food was always good, as were the drinks and the staff was always accommodating and friendly.

I came here on a day pass. It was amazing. The boat ride was quick and safe. The food was great. The atmosphere was super chill. The drinks were a little expensive but worth every penny. Would definitely recommend.

How can I begin to express how glad we were to have found this hotel, is literally paradise, from the moment you arrive to this beautiful well care resort you are greeted with a drink and at check-in you are given all the options of tours and activities offered , even if you just wanna stay by the lovely white sand, turquoise water beach you will enjoy it, we had a bungalow reserved, Maria Paulina the administrator was there day and night willing to help with our every need she set up all of our excursions and was always in the lookout to help us and I form us of whatever, I lost my flip flops and she was even willing to send someone to the little town in the middle of the island to get me a pair, the stuff at the restaurant are very friendly and always have a smile in their faces, the kitchen people are a bit slow preparing foods but is worth the wait, the Plankton tour organized by Ge te de Mar was very cool to see and an experience not to be missed as, we were taken to the Aquarium and then to a tour of the whole 27 Rosario Is8tour where our guide would explain something about each of them, we had the opportunity to go snorkeling during this tour and we saw a sunken plane as well as a beautiful coral reef with many beautiful and colorful fish, we ended the day with a tour of the mangroves and a trip to town, the whole day was just perfect and exceptional completely planned by Paulina, at night the resort is magnificent with the hanging lights and the ocean breeze makes it a perfect place for a romantic getaway, the room was huge, it just needs a couple of extra chairs or some extra tables cause it looks a bit too big for just 2 beds and a night table, the bathroom has some openings so the A/c can scape through it if the door isn't closed and it has no where to hang dry clothes, luckily I had read this prior to our visit and took a clothes line with me that I tied in the bathroom and it was a problem solved, I can't talk highly enough of this place and the people working here, we are in love with Gente de Mar and will be our #1 place to stay when we plan our next trip to Colombia, also did I mention is the only resort with an actual beach? Everyone else has a platform of cement or coral. So definitely the best place to stay is here.

We Love it. The Location is excellent. Even though we had a little inconvenience getting there. Overall was beautiful. The gave us open bar which definitely made it worth it. The have plenty of space for everyone so you will never feel overwhelmed. The have 2 different beaches so the options are endless. I had searched for the perfect place at islas del rosario and this was an amazing choice. The lunch is not very feeling so bringing extra $$ will get you nice Grilled lobster and other delicious seafood. Boat ride was comfortable however the waters are very rough and it could be a little scary at times. Never the less we felt safe with the captain. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK. THANK YOU GUYS.

I did the day trip from Cartagena and would recommend it over all other beach tours you can do! Tour includes a welcome drink, towels at the beach (essential!) and loungers to lay on by the beach all day, hammocks, lunch included (very inclusive because I have allergies and they made a special portion for me). You can buy drinks and other food for an additional cost. The beach is so much cleaner than the others, and no sellers because it's a private island. You can do kayaks, snorkeling and stand up boards for an extra cost too.

The speed boat back was very bumpy and terrifying due to weather. This bigger slower ship may be better.

What a great way to visit the Rosario Islands for a day. While they offer overnight stays, my trip was only for the morning and afternoon, but it was a pure delight. The staff is very kind and aim to make guests comfortable. The boat ride there and back was great, but in the afternoon the ride can get a bit choppy (think of a water rollercoaster), so if you're sensitive to that, keep it in mind (maybe bring some Pepto?). Personally, I loved it. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

I only ate lunch here, but the food and service was great! The beaches are beautiful, and not crowded. The nearby snorkeling is very good snorkeling. The location is also a great location to enjoy beaches, without the crowds and hussle of Cartagena. Beautiful destination!

We came just for lunch and relaxing at the beach; we were not disapointed! The bacon shrimps were amazing, so was the octopus! Yet you have to know that they might only let you in when their hotel guests are gone (around 3pm)

I reserved through Casa de la Cartujita and was impressed that they picked me up at my Airbnb in the morning. We got to the marina and paid, a reasonable amount for a full day including lunch, and got on the boats. The trip out took about an hour, we were greeted with fresh juice and given some information about the day. There were options to go to another island to snorkel, to get massages, play games, etc... But I opted to stay in the sun. There was a small beach and a larger beach, lunch was around 1, and the drinks were easy to get. We got back on the boat to return around 3 and were dropped off outside the Yellow Church where I was easily able to walk back. Would highly recommend!

We did 2 island day trips while staying in Cartagena and this one was easily better. Great staff, good food, and amazing beaches. Very private and no one hassling you to buy stuff from them.

We had a ton of fun here. We swam, played volley ball, pool, and joked around with the other guests. Everyone friendly. Great service, great food, great beach. We felt welcome and appreciated.

My wife and I went for the day and it was amazing. Beautiful beaches with white sand and a sparkling ocean. There was kayaking, lunch, beds for laying down (shade or sun). Highly recommend!

I really recommend the day trip to Gente de Mar. It costs around 170.000 pesos per person and it includes lunch and the boat trip from Cartagena. At the resort, they offer towels, kayaks and comfortable chairs. You can also pay extra for 1 hour of snorkelling in a nearby island (really good as well) or stand up paddle.
