my go-to grocery store, and I can't recommend it enough! As someone who thrives on good deals, this place is a gem. The sales are fantastic, helping me stretch my budget without compromising on quality. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly helpful. They should add self checkout like every other grocery store in the area, it would make the line up go faster. Friendly staff, most of them bilingual.

Great selection of fruits and vegetables, but you will have to go someplace else for your meat unless you are a vegetarian. Their Meat department needs a lot of work, one word "awful".

Update 1: Well since I first posted this review they have done some great work in updating the store. The Meat department has seen a refresh and the selection has greatly improved. Also great job on the store exterior retrofit, looks Good!

Update 2: Hope you fired the snow removal contractor, they did a lot of damage to the east exterior wall! Doesn’t look so nice now lol.

Great grocery store with "affordable" prices... using affordable in the context of today's inflated pricing!!

Very open and clean grocery store with helpful and knowledgeable staff that you can ask the location of most products. Fruits and vegetables are fresh and look good. Products are well organized in rows to prevent confusion. There are also boards that give information on what is in each row. Overall a great store with helpful staff and quality food. Paying is quick and easy. Highly recommend.

Ps. There is plenty of parking space which is rarely full allowing you to part your vehicle reasonably nearby.

This is the first grocery store I have seen with a staff at the entrance directing patrons to answer covid related questions. She cleaned the buggy before I took it and requested that I sanitize my hands. Thank you food basics for your reasonable prices and your commitment to client/staff health during this pandemic!

I really like this because the prices are lower than the usual grocery stores. We only have 32 grocery stores so a less exp 1 is very important. Service is good, never too busy and always parking close to store avaible.

They always seem to have things the others don't which makes you want to go back. Prices are fairly competitive and it's right off the main road. Easy to get to and looks much bigger from the inside. I've had no issues with everything I've bought so far.

Always have what I want at a great price for can goods and cleaning supplies

They have lots of different stuff in the Oriental aisle ...spices and treats and sweets I've never seen or tried so enjoy the finds

I was so impressed they still had cart cleaner they had hand sanitizer when we walk in to shop the line ups for the cash registers where still in place with someone controling what cash to go I think a few big stores needs to look at what they are doing I'll name a few Independent grocers All Dollarama ,Walmarts their protocol are slim to none ....Food basic Rockland you guys were bang on for customer safety thank you

I love this grocery store! It's almost "European"It has an amazing selection of foods that you never knew you needed. The prices are great, the quality is great and the staff is always friendly!

Friendly staff, good prices. They even have a change machine on site. Make sure u bring bags
