Robert Redford Electrical Services is an incredibly honest company. I reached out regarding a bathroom fan that was getting loud and old despite cleaning and lubricating. I had previously replaced the old motor myself before, but unfortunately this time I was having a hard time finding a OEM replacement since it has been discontinued. I was considering swapping the whole unit to a new model and box style, which is why I reached out. I live in an apartment and require a certified electrician to do such modifications.

After sending photos of the fan and model information, Robert confirmed that while absolutely possible for him and his team to do, because of the the style of the existing fan, it would require significant drywall damage to remove.

He was not only very upfront about the scope of work it would require, he also provided me with a resource where I could source a new replacement motor for my existing fan myself should I want to avoid the more expensive job of having him swap it fully.

A little over 48 hours later I have the new fan motor from the supplier he suggested and installed the replacement myself and it's running great.

I was beyond impressed with his communication and willingness to provide such honest information like he did. I will absolutely refer his company any chance I get because of this interaction and I'll personally be calling him for any future electrical work in my own home or office moving forward.

We had to replace the old knob and tube wiring in our living room and dining room which have lath and plaster walls. Redford Electrical Services did an amazing job. One neat round hole in the corner of the living room ceiling and two round holes in the basement that are hidden by shelves. All holes have cover plates. No replastering needed. The electricians (George and partner) did a very professional and neat job. Robert's quote was accurate and we appreciated that he quoted for what he expected the job would entail, as well as outlining prices for any unexpected problems - which we did not encounter thanks to the skilled work. We highly recommend Redford Electrical Services.

Had an EV charger recently installed in our garage. George did the job quickly, efficiently, asked for our input and verified the charger fully worked prior to leaving. This was all done for a really fair price. Robert facilitated a fair quote really quickly via email. Due to an emergency he had to reschedule our appointment, however it was done with fair warning, great communication and was flexible in rescheduling. Would highly recommend and in the event we need more electrical work done will re-use.

Our experience with Robert was great. We upgraded our electric panel and installed some exterior pot lights, and everything went very smoothly. His response time was fast, he explained the whole process clearly, and his quote was very reasonable compared to the other electritions we spoke to. Robert recently completed an electrical service upgrade on my residence. The entire end-to-end experience was top-notch. He was responsive to my initial queries and provided a very competitive quotation by thinking outside the box for an evolved configuration (versus other quotations). The workmanship was high quality and easily passed inspection. Post job, Robert remained responsive and quickly followed through with some invoicing requests I had. Robert is friendly, punctual, highly professional, experienced and reasonable. His work is high quality. We have used his services twice and would not hesitate to call him again. We have used many electricians in the past but none are in the same league as Robert Redford Electrical Services.

Redford did a great job. They did a pretty complex job of running and terminating Ethernet cables throughout my house for entertainment centers, security cameras, wifi APs and office PCs, and did so only having to cut a tiny amount of drywall. They also installed some new outlets and mounted a set of ceiling speakers. All of the work they did looks amazing, and we’re highly professional and flexible. I’ll be calling them back to Install some new high voltage outlets in my garage.

We had aluminum wiring pigtails done to meet current safety standards. The work was done quickly and to a quality that passed an additional electrical inspection. And for those concerned, I never saw the electricians remove their masks at any time while on site. I would use them again in the future and highly recommend them.

Robert and his team converted our 1897 four story home from knob and tube to current code two years ago. He told me it was his most difficult residential job he'd had at that point - I'm not surprised as the house is large and none of walls lined up over the four levels. I'm no stranger to renovations, acting as general contractor on most of our restorations and that was without hesitation the best executed job I have ever had contracted (value and quality - this home or previous ones). I had four quotes done and Robert's was the lowest and the only contractor who felt confident enough in his skills to give me a fixed quote. The three other contractors wanted to literally rip-out our ceilings on two floors to get to the wiring (one wanted us to move out)! Robert's team pulled out and fished through all the wiring through 4 inch diameter holes in the original walls/ceilings - I plastered them (only my second attempt at plastering!) and you'd never have known the wiring was done and the walls touched. If you are looking to replace your knob-and-tube I'd highly recommend Robert - it will also save you a lot in home insurance fees as most insurers either won't cover knob and tube homes or have high premiums for it.

Robert worked on electical panel upgrade, install heater, etc at my house. I am very pleased work Robert's work. He completed the work on time and on schedule. He maintained a good communications throughout the projects and he is always available to answer my questions. Thank you for doing a great job! Like others before me who had interaction with Robert, his quiet confidence in his work and his no nonsense approach really stand out. Other attributes such as punctuality, knowledgeable, and responsive also came to mind.

The staff they sent were very polite and helpful. They tidied up when they were done and although they could not dispose of the previous light fixtures they advised me where I could take them. This was very helpful
