We visited the Skins Lake Campground on Canada Day. The entire area is spotlessly clean and all pathways groomed. This is a beautifully kept park with covered cooking areas and a vast view of Ootsa Lake, belonging to the Nechako Reservoir and spilling into Skins Lake. A road trip over the spillway bridge brings us to a quick view of where water rushes through. The bridge area is fenced and posted as a dangerous area with strict rules to not stop on the bridge. We were able to see the spillway before and after the bridge however, with definitely powerful rushing force of water. Exploring along the spillway gorge brings more spectacular views. Please dont go into the spillway gorge, water rushes through periodically.
