The Westwood

I love this busy little restaurant in Black Diamond. The baking display 😋 if you have the willpower to walk away from the donuts. The menu is so good, I have tried almost everything and I believe everything can be made gluten free. Which is a big deal, most of my family is gluten free and it can be hard to enjoy a meal out. Everything is always so fresh. Keep up the good work.

Wow. Unexpectedly delicious, friendly service, quick, great value. Tried the tuna rice bowl and burnt ends burger with cheddar soup. Excellent all around.

Nice little spot right off the main drag. Good healthy options and a nice selection for drinks. Will definitely return.

One of my favourite places in the Calgary area. Well-worth the drive to Black Diamond. Delicious, homemade food with quality ingredients that you can really taste.

My favourites include their Lamb or Beef Burgers and Fish Tacos. The Shoestring Fries are freshly made and the accompanying dips are tasty too. Truffle is obviously my fav.

They also make AMAZING Donuts but go early for those as they often sell out.

The perfect spot for a weekend drive and a patio lunch!

The Westwood has become one of our favourite lunch places before a drive through Sheep River. The food is consistently excellent, the burnt ends are definite highlight. They also can do a gluten free fish and chips which is great for my wife who is gluten sensitive. Deserts are always spot on. Great for catering as well and some really good coffee and pastry options. Highly recommend you stop in if you're in the area!

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. The pumpkin coconut soup was perfect. And so was the lamb burger. I loved them both. We came here after a hike and the sofa upstairs is a nice touch. Amazing place and we will be back!

I came here with a group of people on Wednesday evening and I couldn’t have loved it more! The food was excellent, the staff was so friendly and they even accommodated a little birthday celebration we were doing and we stayed a few minutes after closing with no hassle! Thank you all for being amazing and such a wonderful place! Look forward to visiting here again next time I visit Canada! Your Kale Caesar salad is so delicious!!

First experience of Poutine in Canada and loved it. Great with burnt ends. Also gluten free.

Absolutely lovely. Great venue, felt like I was on vacation. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and very filling. Great price for such a high quality, fresh and original meal.

A wonderful find! Relatively simple menu but everything done so well. We had a group of seven and had a variety of burgers and tacos. All were delicious with satisfying portion sizes. Love all the creative toppings and flavours, with lots of GF and Vegan options too. Plus a nice drink menu! Casual, friendly atmosphere and staff.

Loved the Westwood. Great pastry selection! Returned after our walk and had lunch. I got the smash burger, so good! Not too big with just the right toppings. Delicious!

One of our favourite places to go! The Westwood has fantastic food, great service, friendly staff and excellent drink selection. Their food choices are varied everything from brisket to burgers to delicious bowls and homemade soups. They also make fantastic doughnuts and muffins. Their breakfast options from 10-11 are also fantastic Cassie always gets the Avocado Toast and I enjoy the Breakfast Mezze.

Delightful surprise after our hiking day. The restaurant is cozy, country cute, and great staff. I chose the special and it was delicious. Hubby chose burger and he said it was juicy and delicious. Great combinations of flavors and colours. Also have local beers and great coffee and tea options.
If you like donuts, this a great place to order one? Bake in the same restaurant.
We chose strawberry filled donut. A delish.
It is going to be a Stop for us next time we pass across Black Diamond.

Best burgers in the whole foothills area.
Tried bison burger and loved it. Now I have to try every burger on that menu.

Our server was fantastic. The ambiance was spot on for a summer evening and the food... The food was incredible. Much better than I thought it would be. The bison burger is a must.

We came here because of the Gluten friendly options! And left even happier once I seen they even had GF desert options. The shoelace french fries were SUPER tasty. I had the fried cod tacos & was very pleased!

Great food, recommend by the locals & well worth going. Little nick-nacks and drinks/kitchen items by the front till, nice outdoor patio, clean inside and friendly staff. The food was filling & delicious. This place is a great find for a great meal. Healthy selection, salads and good burgers, duck, regular, yam fries lots of variety to please everyone on the menu.

Stellar service even when things go ary.

We frequent The Westwood a lot as we love how accommodating their menu is for special dietary needs and allergies.

Due to some miscommunication, my companion's meal had to be remade twice. Our server remained calm, friendly, and professional despite everything.

We forgot to get her name, but she was working the breakfast shift on the date of this review. Our thanks to both her and the kitchen staff for the care they took of us.

It was our first time at the Westwood, and it was amazing! We came for the gluten free recommendations, and it was excellent. The servers had good knowledge on gluten free and cross contamination, and I was pleased to find out they have a dedicated fryer. The food was amazing, we got the halloumi fries and a smash burger. We will definitely be returning!

Well back second time and same experience staff friendly and food was great and taste amazing, this time we try the bison burger and mushy burger with fries and kale salad finished with cinnamon donuts 🍩

First time this location, the food amazing , I got the lamb burger was over my acceptation , dessert was amazing we try all of them 🤪 , the staff very friendly and always watching out for us for make sure we have everything
