Absolutely stunning park, a great place for a walk with the family into some pretty nature. All seasons.

Nature park, only short commute (approximately 1 hour) from Calgary. There are multiple campgrounds thorough the valley. Road is closed for the winter season just at Sandy Mc Nabb campground. There are plenty of hiking or biking trails for every level of nature enthusiast. Beautiful scenery especially in fall, when winter is approaching. There are only few places with views like here if you are willing to hike to necessary elevation.

Beautiful scenery, only wish we had more time to explore. There appears to be an abundance of walking trails.

Don't miss the sign to check out Bighorn. If you feel a bit adventurous, the tips of those horns are worth a look. Don't forget your gaiters... and more so, your snowshoes, like I did!

A short commute from Calgary (1 hour) and a beautiful hike with an incredible view. There are lots of trail heads with parking in the area and local ranches with horse back riding. There are campgrounds throughout as well with full services.

It’s a beautiful place, quiet place. Two benches overlooking the valley to sit at and observe the view. Not too far from Sandy McNabb campground.

Beautiful area with a number of hikes. We only drove through, heading down to Junction Creek Day Use area but it was gorgeous.

Love it out here, it's become one of our favourite places.
No matter what you are looking for. Long or short hiking trails. Biking trails or even horseback riding. If you want to do a hot dog roast or picnic or just want to cool your feet in the stream, it's all available at this one amazing spot.
It does get pretty busy though so be aware when going on weekends/holidays that there may not be any available picnic tables / spots. Doesn't mean you can't go for a hike (as long as you can get a parking spot).
