When we moved to Black Diamond 2 years ago, we expected to find that our local grocery store would have limited choices and high prices. Isn't that the way it is in small communities?

Well, was I wrong! Their prices are fair, and they always seem to have what we are looking for. Their meat is especially good.

On top of all that the staff are friendly and helpful. I was especially impressed when I phoned them a few weeks ago to see if they had tahini. Would I have to go into the city for this item? Not at all. Not only did they have it, the staff member told me what it cost, how many they had, and where to find it when I came to the store.

Great staff; very friendly. Of course the prices are a little more; they don’t have Walmart buying power. Meat department is comparable to the best butcher in Calgary. Will order you in anything you want if you give him a couple of days notice!

The meat department is outstanding. The butcher is personable and helpful. The prices and quality are wonderful. I send all my local friends here. For a small town store with less buying power than the big boys they do remarkably well. The money I save on gas by shopping local ....I dont mind if prices on a few things are a tad higher.

For our small town, this is a very good grocery store. I shop the sales and local supplies of fruit and veggies; especially the meat section because the butcher does a fabulous job. The store is well run by local business owners, and they always have ample staff that are welcoming, friendly, helpful and courteous.

Update 17/02/22 Same owners, same Great service everytime, this grocery store just continues to get better and better every year, the owners and staff are always able and willing to help you with any of your grocery needs and more, and they deliver if needed, I know city folks that make special trips out for the incredible meat selection alone, stop by and check it out today !!

This has been operated by the same owner for 30 years. His meats are the finest around, the service by his staff is impeccable. His prices are more than fair for a local grocer, and often even cheaper then the big stores. Shop local and support local. Save your gas money!!

Love the meat section and all the beautiful produce! I drive from SW Calgary and enjoy the drive and change of scenery. It's a vibrant shop and worth a visit.

Country food Mart- such a lovely little grocery store that has (thankfully) survived the era of "big box" stores creeping in. I imagine that is because of Marks kindness and generosity in the community, there aren't too many families there that haven't been at the receiving end of AGs generosity. He always steps up for his community. When you're shopping there, you're helping your towns, and not filling the pockets of the major corporations.
I always shop there when I'm in town.

I love this grocery store. It may be small but they have amazing selections in all departments. Nice bread and bagels. Excellent meats and amazing produce.

rather go there and support a local store then a big corporation like Walmart ect. food cost little more but it goes right back into the community. friendly staff. clean store.
