Turner Inn Family Restaurant

Stopped in here with my son to grab a quick dinner on our way through town. I was so impressed with the delightful atmosphere, quick service, and excellent food. I went for the classic ginger beef and I was not disappointed. They even put a little bit of spicy heat in the mix (a little) and I really enjoyed it. They also have the most beautiful salt water aquarium, rich with corals and fish. My son and I just enjoyed the aquarium while we waited for our food. We will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic food and service. Inside is clean and filled up with regular customers on a Saturday right after we got there. The buffet is currently unavailable, but there's great combo deals and daily specials. I highly recommend dining here.

My dad and I went for Chinese food. We had Special D on the yellow menu. And I have to say the food was very delicious.The ginger beef was cooked just right ! It wasn't too soft or too crispy. It had just the right amount of ginger, teriyaki sauce, and crunchiness. And the chow mein was superb ! The flavor, the texture, and just the right amount of veggies. My dad and I sure didn't go wrong ordering that dish. And our server. Well. She was a cute, pretty little thing. I never asked for her name. But she was polite, friendly, cheerful, and loved smiling. Like I said, she was cute and pretty ! Alright, she was a very attractive woman. But her service and attention were very good. She has the right attitude for being a server. Even our order taker was very attentive. She refilled our glasses with water. Before they were empty ! She, too, was very polite and courteous. Overall, I would have to say that my visit to this restaurant. Was a very delightful and pleasant one. My dad and his common law wife Jean. Go there every other weekend. But they like the food there. So they frequent this restaurant a fair bit.

Honestly the best ginger beef I’ve had in years. The staff are always friendly and the food speaks for itself. There’s a beautiful aquarium as well. If you’re passing through like we were, this place is worth stopping at.

They make the best chicken noodle soup. When we were sick we called for some and it wasn’t chicken noodle soup day but she got her husband to make me some anyways. It’s so fresh and the taste was amazing. Definitely my go to place for when we are sick.

This restaurant serves all kinds of different styles of food but the Chinese food?? AMAZING!
We love Chinese but recently moved to an acreage near Turner Valley. We figured we’d have to drive back to the city to indulge but gave Turner Inn a try.
The potstickers are handmade.
The ginger beef is the best we’ve ever had.
The food comes out fast and fresh every time.
And the prices are much more affordable than in the city.
This is a small town restaurant boasting big time quality.

Service is great , food is very good especially their cutlets. Very homey. Recommend

Service is a bit slow but the food is good.

Some of the best Chinese food in the area, love the way they do the dinners for one. You can actually pick what you want to eat - not predetermined dinners for one. I will definitely be back.
Update, visited October 2023 - menu updated, food still delicious. Hot, fresh, good portions.

Hot and sour soup was excellent, tried the ginger beef and mixed vegetables, very nice (and that saying, I'm not a vegetable person). Our little one loves their shrimp and chicken balls and the spring rolls. A quiet and comfortable place to enjoy an evening.

Went there with my dad after hiking. Only 2 in the restaurant but was met with a nice lady. Menu consists of both diner and Chinese-american food. Portions are good and tons of vegetables on the plate. Nice quiet place and will visit again if I'm in the area.

The clouds parted and a beam of light shone down upon a bowl of the Wonton soup...it was *10/10* The BEST wonton soup in the foothills. I'll be back...a lot.

I thought I knew western Chinese food and thought that I liked it, but after visiting this restaurant, I NOW LOVE IT. I now realize I have been missing out on how good, and delicious and flavourful and fresh Chinese food can be. They put so much crunch in the ginger beef and ginger chicken, the dumplings are home made, the bbq pork is lightly sweet with deep flavours and colors, and the waitress was %100 at everything we needed. It was a lovely experience and even though I live in Cochrane I will be making this my #1 restaurant for when I am craving Chinese food next. Thanks Turner Inn, never change!

Great food and great staff and owners

Turner Inn is awesome because of the people that own it and run it! This family goes out of their way every single day to make sure you have a great experience and great food. Amongst many other items, their pizza is amazing! Dine in experience is fantastic! You will surely come across someone from the family and the fish tank here is something I could look at all day long! A lot of work goes into the tank and it’s occupants. DEB

Great food friendly staff prices are good a great place to eat

During corona there were not many places open in black diamond so we tried this place out. Was very happy with the food. Nice thick patty and toasted bun. Fries were good also. Good prices. Would come back.
