The Best Steak and Eggs in Alberta! Tender, juicy, and marbled fats added so much flavour. It comes on a bed of hash, toasts and couple of eggs. Totally worth the value. Their Flat Iron Steak Benny was star of the show, too! Savoury tender steak on top of buttery croissant, covered by poached eggs blanketed by hollandaise sauce. But I think the overall experience won’t be that perfect if not for the over the top service of the front crew, especially Jen (if I’m not mistaken), who’s super cheerful, fast, attentive to all of her customers, and very nice to talk with. The best part was she offered us a bucket of toys for our toddler. That was sweet and thoughtful of her. What a great small diner this is. I am definitely coming back for more brunches!

This is a hidden gem! The food is good home cooking and lots of it! But it is the owner and staff that make us go back and back! They always are friendly, quick witted, enjoy the interaction between staff and customers, really make you feel at home, not like any restaurant around! The drive in the country is beautiful and then you reach your destination, an old time red barn! This restaurant has been here for over 50 years, 25 with the current owner. The continuation of kids coming with their parents and years later, they are working there as adults, “you gotta eat here” !!!

Wonderful place the beef barley soup truly amazing. The double chese burger special was huge I found it a little costly at 26 .95 but the quality and quantity was definitely there. Thank you chuckwagon restaurant

The waitresses are very friendly and we definitely love the atmosphere. Visit them if you are hungry since their food is very filling.

This place was absolutely phenomenal! Charming, friendly, amazing service. Had the Tenderloin Sandwich with Fries and Homemade Beef Gravy and this is by far the best thing I've eaten while out in Alberta. Alberta beef is AMAZING and I can never eat Ontario beef again 🤣 thank you for everything. It was delicious and perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

At the risk of sounding like a cliche… well, you gotta eat here!

It’s a busy spot but we’ve never waited too long for a table. Plus you’re right beside Eau Claire Distillery so you can wait it out with some local gin, if that’s your thing. Which it absolutely should be.

Back to the Chuckwagon Cafe, they have the best Steak & Eggs. In fact I rarely get Steak & Eggs anywhere else. The steak is flavourful and always cooked perfectly.

I absolutely recommend their Burgers too. These cheeseburgers are massive and so tasty. I can hardly hold the entire thing in my hand (👀) and you can’t beat Alberta beef! Fries are great too.

Worth the drive for sure!

I could give more than 5 stars if I could. My family and I enjoyed the food so much. It’s the best tasting beef melt I’ve ever had. My dad had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict which he truly enjoyed and finished in one seating coz he said it was so good! The lovely owner was very gracious and friendly, must have asked for her name. Will definitely go back! 🥰

We went in on Heritage Day. It was busy. We waited for maybe 10 minutes. When we walked in, it was stepping back in time. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Fashioned right out of what you would expect in farm territory-friendly. The waitresses were absolutely incredible. The food? Let's just say, have the banana cream pie! Great place to bring a family.

Wow, first time here. Let me tell ya, how could I be in a bad mood. 1. They give you a buzzer if waiting for a table (small town, say what?!) And the wait was 5 min tops. 2. Our server was so bubbly and she offered up her recommendation and it shows she loves the place (I'm bad with names but pretty sure she had red hair?)
3. The food.
I had the flank steak Benny, and it was delicious. Well seasoned and so filling. The spouse had something similar but with better cut of meat, it certainly was worth the extra charge.
I have to be back for the pies, sad I was full and could try the Banana Cream Flapper...next time!

Portions here are MASSIVE!!! Tasty wholesome food with wonderfully friendly staff. The decor is authentic (I think) & so comfortable. The entire town & surrounding countryside is breathtaking. If we ever pass by here again I would make a beeline to visit again ❤❤❤

I had the Tenderloin Eggs Benny, which was the BEST Breakfast 👌 👍 😍 🥰 I ever ate in my 67 years of eggs benny. The tenderloin, I could cut it with my fork, the staff was amazingly friendly, the ambiance was super dooper....going back again! Actually tomorrow 😆

We ordered flat iron steak eggs benny, beef melt and strawberry rhubarb pie. The mains had a perfectly balanced taste with some subtle sour elements to them. It makes the taste rich and whole. The dessert wasn’t too sweet and if you want it sweeter, you can always order it with whipped cream. Service was excellent with good vibes all around!

100% must go! PS. Hubby says it’s the best eggs benny he’s ever tasted!

Come for the food, stay for the make-yourself-at-home service. I sat at the counter and got a rancher’s breakfast, which was hearty and delicious. The ham, bacon, and sausage were all surprisingly full of flavor. Pretty sure I was served by the owner, and she made me feel cared for and comforted like I was visiting mom’s house. The whole place felt like it had so much history and character that just added to the coziness.

Saw the sign saying they were featured on "You Gotta Eat Here" so I went home and watched the episode (season 1 episode 22 for those curious). Made it out the following weekend with my family and it was worth the hype for sure. Nice staff, food was hot and fresh (the kitchen works quickly) and hanging out in turner valley for the day was fun too. We'll be back for sure

Always a great place for breakfast or lunch. Take that wonderful drive out to Diamond Valley!

One my favorite places for brunch! It gets busy so it's better to get there early. The eggs Benedict and stake and eggs are so good!

Love this place! Have been here a few times and will continue to return. The burgers are delicious, the steak is so good, the flat iron eggs Benny 😋😋😋 The steak is so juicy and tender. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable with some rustic thrown in. Tried the strawberry rhubarb sourcream pie and wow! I'm not a pie lover, but I'd have this sweet and tart pie again. The staff are attentive without being in your face, very friendly. We were served by Susan (I hope that's right!) and she was wonderful. We had arrived about an hour before closing and were surprised more people were coming in, some from Canmore and some from Drumheller! Well worth the drive. I found pricing to be fair, the portions are generous. Thanks for having us!

Food was absolutely to die for, the burger was so juicy and flavourful and the beef melt was one of a kind! The staff was super welcoming and quick with their service! Will definitely be coming back!

This is my 2nd time visiting Chuckwagon Cafe. The atmosphere and cowboy style were amazing. The food is extraordinarily well done with relatives excellence. All the beautiful waitresses have done an excellent job. The place is nice and clean.
