Stairs for breakfast? This access point brings you down to the rocky beach. You'll see birds galore, like Eagles, Seagulls and Blue Herons. Somedays, you'll see the 'circle of life' in action... see pictures of dead Sea Lion below.

Blueback is a magnificent beach. If you don’t mind stairs, definitely check it out.

A beautiful little walk down the stairs 🔥😎
Even better going back to the top ❤ such a beautiful beach both when high-tide and low-tide, caught an amazing sunset ❣ super chill location, lots of space when low-tide is in. But different when high-tide in.
Altogether a very nice Area to visit 💯

Beautiful and sandy beach at low tide, you can walk for miles in both directions! Great exercise too because it’s 292 stairs down and back up but don’t worry , they supplied many resting platforms!

This place was a bit of a challenge for me personally as I have had multiple knee surgeries and going down 296 stairs only to come back up them after enjoying the beach was a bit much for my knees. Took a couple breaks coming back up just catch my breath and rest. The beach itself was great and we arrived during low tide so it was a long walk to the water. Really enjoyed taking in the views of the big open sky and the mountains. Plenty of crabs, sand dollars and starfish along the waters edge and rocks. Watched an otter eat a fish on the rocks nearby us and then went to look for more. Not overly crowded at all, great place for dog walking and kids loved it too. Highly recommended for the views, exercise and fresh air. Enjoy!!

Long walk down to the beach. Beach is more rocks than anything. However extremely beautiful area to watch the sunset! The sunset makes up for the long trek downstairs and rocks.

Great little hidden gem! A lot of folks use the stairs for a workout (met a lovely lady who does 10 reps before going for a swim), but there are lots of cut-outs and benches to allow for less ambitious folks to catch their breath.
To be clear, the stairs would be quite intense for anyone with mobility or fitness issues. If you're not prepared to sweat, there are better beach accesses, but if you don't mind working for it, this is a gorgeous little spot. And the stairs are very well maintained!

This beach was beautiful with the tide out. There was lots of sand for the kids to play in. The only downside was the 300+/- stairs to get down…then back up. It had a decent amount of people, but not super crowded, I’m assuming because of all the stairs.

The stairs are a bit difficult to climb on the way back up, but the beach is worth it.

Great place if you have kids, there's a lot of sand (better to go in the morning before the high tide)
My little one had a blast.

Beware!!!! (See pictures) we found this on our way up, I was holding on to the rail with one hand while climbing up the stairs because I was holding my 3 y old with the other hand, but I looked up on time.
I'm sure It would have been painful 😳 if I had touched it.
Just remember to be careful.

Stunning expanse of Sandy Beach as far as the eye can see. Ocean breezes are always blowing here to keep you cool. Not for those with mobility issues as access is via incredibly long stairs. (100 plus) Worth the trek though just for the scenery. There is a convenience store close to one public access point where you can grab a few snacks. Washroom facilities available there. None at the beach.

Beautiful during the low tide or high tide. Its long long stairs is really great if you want a real deep exercise. A great outdoor gym. You will really sweat it out.

Gorgeous views. It has a great location for parking than Invermere beach. It has a long stretch of sandbar which is great particularly during the summer. Kids would really have fun playing in the sand. And building sandcastles.

If you walk farther to the right you will reach Invermere beach. Invermere beach is really great if you have dogs.

I usually start my walk to Bueback beach access then go to Invermere to avoid walking up the long long stairs.

Overall, they are both equally a lovely beach.

Fairly long flight of stairs, but great quiet beach. Amazing at low tide. Lots of sand dollars and even saw a star fish. Great sunset view

If you like doing stairs, this is the beach for you! Very private, not too busy and somewhat of a hidden gem.

I love it. It's an easy walk down the stairs. To a majestic rocky beach. This spot has a beautiful place to watch the sunset. The air is clean and crisp with that effervescent smell of the ocean and the salty air. When the tide is out; there is a Very sandy beach, soft and smooth to walk on, play on, bring the kids down and play in the sandy tide pools.
And then there is the climb back up the stairs. Like a stairway to heaven climb..... well at least it is good for your heart.

Beautiful beach! But be warned, there is a moderately steep 298 staircase to get down/back up to parking

Tons of stairs but a very nice beach once you get down to the bottom. The biggest issue is getting back up after the fact

Blueback Beach is a perfect place to watch the sunset. Whether your preference is the reasonable hike down the stairs to a beautiful shoreline, or to simply park in the small lot and watch from the street-level access, this is a great gem in the north-end.
