May Richards Bennett Pioneer Park

One of the best off-leash dog parks I've ever been to. Twice around on the trails of this fenced in woodland park is enough to keep my pup happy.

Best offleash dog area in town. Most of it is fenced, it's a nice tree covered area and it's a pretty good size. Obviously though be aware it's an offleash area so a lot of large dogs are running around excitedly, so keep that in mind when bringing your young children or if you're likely to suffer a serious injury from falling as they sometimes do run into people (I have been fine but I have seen it happen without injuries).

Also if you are planning on keeping your dog onleash other dogs will be offleash and come up to your dog.

This is a wonderful, safe place to bring your dog for an off leash walk. There are benches throughout and poop bags provided and garage cans. You always see friendly people with their pooches. It's a fantastic place for dogs to interact and get exercise and also get a walk in with a friend.

This is the absolute best dog park I have ever been to. My pups enjoyed exploring the woods. If I lived nearby, that would definately be my daily go to park.

My favourite park for my walks with my pup! Always lots of dogs and a nice length for the loop. Lots to smell and explore for the pup.

Another one of my favorites good hike even got some up hill tracks man the hill to the look out magnificent. And Somone had a mimorial for there dog there it was sad for a few min as I imagined what the dog looked like I can only assume that they visited regularly 💜💯😘

Great offleash dog park. Just needs to be fully inclosed. There are bunnys and squirrels so beware.

There's a great off leash dog park here that I love to go to. There are only a few short trails through the woods but it's a nice quick escape into nature.

Been using this off leash dog park for over 6 years… a nice brief escape into nature if you are not able to take your dog for a long hike. No fencing has proved to be an issue for some dog owners sadly… Today however… I was so pleased to see that a fence has been built around entire off leash area and it’s so much safer now for those dogs that run off or puppies! Shame a dog had to have a tragic accident before the city listened but now it’s truly a wonderful safe off leash area for your dog !

This dog park is pretty neat as it’s wooded compared to your basic wide open park and provides great shade on those hot days!

My son has played football at Football Nanaimo since he was 8 years old and love it here. We are so lucky to have so many volunteers and coaches to make this place amazing for kids.

Great place for walking your dog off leash. Easy trails through wooded area. Fenced except for small area near the rugby field.

Best off leash Dog park in Nanaimo.

A little gem, although it a short walk 1k there are some little cross trails so you can make it as long as you want. It was great for me because I had issues with my hip but did not interfere with my time there.

Nice little walk. The trees provide a nice canopy while it's raining. We don't let our dogs off leash (because they like to run away) but lots of people do.

Nice wooded off-leash dog park, also great for a walk around even if you don't have a dog.

What an amazing park. Awesome ocean view, options for shade, volleyball court, spray park. I was blown away. Good work, Ladysmith!
