West Rock House

This is an amazing house. The scenery and vistas are incredible. The decks are so inviting that you never want to leave. The house is so well stocked and has a great play room downstairs to keep those that don't want to just sit back and enjoy the view entertained. Gerry was an excellent host and got was easy to get a hold of, although we had no issues. This is one of the most amazing vacation rentals I have stayed in.

I can’t say enough about Gerry’s home in Nanoose Bay, it was 100% turnkey and beautiful from all angles. The wildlife was in abundance and spectacular each and every day. A few afternoon swims to cool off in the summer sun was a nice perk, and being able to do that right out of your own garden was a breeze.
Gerry was excellent at communicating and super easy to coordinate with.

A large, well appointed getaway nestled into the shores of Nanoose Bay. Offers spectacular ocean vistas and lots of space for a large family to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Has all the amenities, including a beautiful outdoor fire pit, and stairs down to the ocean shore. The house proper has a beautiful deck, some quiet areas for reading, a fantastic games room and 5- bedrooms! Lots to do in the area, including paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, biking and golf! Our host was stellar and an excellent communicator. We will definitely be back!

Bright, spacious and right on the water - West Rock House was a wonderful place for our two families to stay. Lots of room, very well appointed and unparalleled views. Gerry was a great host - generous (left us a bottle of wine and souvenir glasses) and responsive. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous home base for our vacation. Views are stunningly beautiful. Kitchen is thoroughly equipped for cooking big meals, and every day we looked forward to eating dinner on the deck with the views across the water, otters visiting the rocks below, bald eagles soaring right over the deck. We awakened every morning to gorgeous sunrises. Every room offered comfort and a peaceful ambiance.

Great spot for an extra long weekend away with some good friends. The house was perfect. Lots of room. Spectacular views. Amazing location for some great golf. Highly recommend!

we had a amazing time at this beautiful seaside home. there is so much to do in the area, including hikes, beaches, and quaint spots. spent alot of time staring out the window at the sea. Very well equipped kitchen - we are renters at many places, and this is the best kitchen ever. very comfortable and spacious. beds are nice. location is very quiet and private from neighbors.

A lovely house with a beach interior feel and a lovely view of the ocean. Sea life and many deer around. Fun times for your family by the campfire. Many beautiful places to go hiking and travelling around the Island. Beaches are close by. Goats on a roof is a "must see" interesting store full of fun gourmet items.

We simply cannot recommend West Rock highly enough!

This is a beautiful & breathtaking ocean front property with incredible views from everywhere in the house. The owners have taken great care with new renovations and decor. From the moment we set foot on the property we started to relax. Our two tweens had a great time as well and there is a great kids space downstairs with fuse ball, darts, loads of board games and a TV so kids and adults can both enjoy some downtime. We spotted lots of eagles from the large main level deck which has a great outdoor dining area and barbeque. West Rock is just a short drive to the lovely Parksville beaches and Cooms (Goats on Roof Old Country Market)

We can't wait to go back this summer!

Thanksgiving 2021, 8-11 Oct. The whole family stayed ( 10 of us ) over the Thanksgiving weekend . It is a fantastic place with superb view looking east to the mainland. The fire pit was a highlight , everyone sat round the fire in the late afternoon toasting marshmallows and snores. Beer & Champagne before going in for dinner. Lots of room and a great games room with darts, foozball and video games.Great little hike up to Notch gap and a visit to the North Island Wildlife Recovery centre near Coombs All in all a very memorable weekend in a truly great house. Wow! Those were the words that I uttered as we walked through the front door. The view is spectactular! But the “wow’s” didn’t stop there. West Rock House is stunning. Beautifully decorated. Fully appointed with everything and anything your heart desires!

We enjoyed our morning coffee in the sunroom or on the deck after a great sleep in very comfy bed (always something that is important to me), while watching the seals or otters.

The location is perfect to explore Nanaimo, Goats on Roof Country Market (recently profiled on Amazing Race Canada), Cathedral Grove, Tofino, not to mention all of the local places in Nanoose Bay like the Rusted Rake Farm (café/restaurant with amazing gluten free baked goods) and the marina.

We will definitely recommend West Rock House to friends and we will surely return!

Beautiful location, gracious hosts and a well-appointed house. Even better in person. Great place for a family (or two). It was a peaceful home base for us to travel into Parksville and explore all the island has to offer. We can't wait to make this an annual trip.
