Staff are all ways professional, the dental staff explain everything that is going on ahead of time with my pain and comfort level their highest concern. The front staff are friendly and respectfully and I recommend them 100 percent to anyone looking for a dentist to call home !

Moved to North Nanaimo 3 years ago. We continued with our previous dental clinic where we had been for 50 years. Read the reviews on this site and booked with Dover. I had my first appointment Jan. 12th. Could not be happier great venue. Great staff If you looking for a dental clinic look no farther

I have been attending this dental office for over 25 years. Always the best experience at this dental office. Honest, caring and they always make me feel like I am an important client. Knowledge dentist's and super caring team.

Great people! Great Dentists! Friendly staff! Had a great experience there! All you need to be when you go there is be nice!!!! They are there to help you, to make you a better person with your smile. Sometimes it cost money for a better smile, sometimes your insurance doesn't cover the cost ! You can't tell now, but I only had half a front tooth left and was so embarrassed to smile. I was convinced I was going to lose that tooth but the staff at Dover view fixed it up for me. Thanks a million, not only do I still have a front tooth but I have my confidence back.

Can’t say enough about the whole office, from the minute you step into the office, very professional , prompt, experienced and personable , makes you feel at ease with what ever your having done that day.

Service is consistently professional. I feel welcomed here by everyone from front-desk staff, to the dental hygienist and dentists. I have been a patient for almost 12 years, and have been happy with my dental visits! Tried a different dental clinic for a few visits, but I still prefer Dover View Dental. Each patient is treated in a separate room for complete privacy and comfort. The warm wood doors and cabinetry are also wonderful design elements that I like about this dental office!

I am so grateful for the dental work they did for me when no one else wanted to. You guys are a life saver in my eyes. Thank you so much. I think tooth pain is the most painful pain out there and it is so great to be pain free. Dr. Shim and his team were always professional and caring in every step they took. I honestly can’t express the gratitude I have for Dr Tansey and his team (Bonnie, Mark, Heather and all). I had 3 months of massive reconstructive dental surgery, 14 crowns, a couple root canal’s and fillings. My teeth were at the point of almost needing dentures. Bonnie scheduled it all in and made the miracle happen.
Dr Tansey is wizard level dentist, I can’t believe what he accomplished with my teeth. New teeth, new life, and just wow!!

I recently had work done on two occasions by Dr Shim. I had a great overall experience- dental work aside.

I react to the freezing . Something no dentist previously has recognized to be an issue and have always chalked it up to anxiety. So the dentist is not usually a positive experience. This of course adds more dental anxiety than usual.
Both Dr Shim and the assistant I had ( I wish I could remember her name) were amazing at monitoring, and taking all the precautions they could to keep the reaction to a minimum. They explained what was going on and when to take away any additional anxiety I was having.
On previous work they were able to use a freezing I do not react to.

The ladies at the front desk are always amazing, and the hygienists I have seen have been great as well!

The Dover View Dental office is the best Dental office I've ever had. Our daughter had braces 10 years ago she had had numerous cleaning in another city over the years. She had a cleaning at Dover Dental and they found some glue from her braces that the previous dentist office had never found. The staff are all very friendly, professional and explain everything very well. The front reception staff are also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this dental office.

I love all the staff, hygienists and dentists at this practice. They are friendly, professional and good at what they do. Lucy is my hygienist and goes the extra mile. Dr. Chan is patient and explains my options before he undertakes any dental work. Sue and Heather at the front are welcoming and helpful if I have to move my appointments around. I am so happy I moved to this practice a few years ago!

We always have an amazing experience! The ladies at the front are always so warm and welcoming. The hygienists are very nice and do an amazing job. The dentists are so kind, friendly & very knowledgeable. They are also amazing with kids!!!

Dover View Dr Tansey and all the staff are so wonderful. I am treated with the best quality of service by professionals that care. I really admire this place wondering where have they been all my life? Never worry about anything in their care when it comes to dental. Look forward to returning all the time... ;-)

Such an awesome clinic, I have been twice now when it was an "emergency" and they were able to get me in right away. Most recently the emergency was with my 6 year old son who was not doing well with a swollen jaw and major pain. He was NOT being very helpful when the hygienist was trying to get the photos taken, but she was SO incredibly patient and so accommodating to him. He literally told me that going to the dentist is "not bad like people always say"!!

The front desk staff, the hygienist and the Dentist are all so nice, welcoming, and make me feel comfortable. I have never felt any pain or discomfort. Love going to this clinic. I actually look forward to my appointments.

Excellent staff, excellent results. I could not be more impressed with the professionalism of all staff at Dover View Dental. From first walking through the door to having a difficult procedure completed, my experience was extremely positive. Highly recommended!

Everyone at Dover View Dental are amazing. I have anxiety and panic disorders, and having things like dental work can be very difficult for me. I had two wisdom teeth pulled, a filling and a cleaning and I was relaxed and calm during the whole experience. They were great at working with our insurance and made sure what I needed done would be covered by my insurance. All options for ny treatment were explained to me which allowed me to make the best decision for myself. Huge tha is to everyone there!

Dr. Shim is just awesome! So thankful to both him, and his assistant too!
I thoroughly appreciated his patience, and his clarity in explaining the problems that I was dealing with, and the available options for me... and his assistant was fully earning the same praise.
It may sound like I am "laying it on" too thick, but it is the truth.
