this school is really good my kid goes there and he has nothing but good things to say

This is a great school. Lots of help offered by the teachers on their own time for the kids that need it.

It’s ok terrible room service though

Went here from 2017 till the start of covid. By far the worst experience i have ever had in the education system. There are very few good teachers there and most of the good teachers were only there for a year. I will now list some of what went down:

1) a kid made fake instas to harrass himself for attention. The student body was punished for this.

2) teachers would rarely allow students to go to the washroom, both during classes and at lunch

3) they would force us to stay outside during -20° weather and colder

4) stole donations from students for a "climbing apparatus" which was never brought back up after the fundraiser.

5) hired an unqualified person who treated students poorly and went into the male restroom on multiple occasions (female teacher)

6)attempted to ban us from going to the plaza tim hortons before school

7)wouldn't allow students in the baseball field due to something that happened years prior

8) illegal search and seizure of students phones

9) deleting evidence of wrongdoing from previously stated phones

10) clear favoritism that was reflected in students marks

11) extremely unsanitary

12) turning a blind eye to bullying/ harrassment and often punishing the victim

13) consistently would disobey curriculum and teach whatever they felt like

14) Mme. Murphy specifically was arguably the worst teacher in the school, with extreme examples of favoritism/ dislike for students. Phones were banned because of her getting recorded while swearing at a student.

15) many of the female teachers were sexist towards the male students, being significantly more lenient with female students and allowing them to do alot more in general, an example being the guys being in assigned seats in homeroom with no phone allowed while females were allowed to basically do whatever (mme Holland's homeroom)

I can confidently say there was more than this that just isn't coming to mind. If you have the option, do not attend this school

Terrible school, was bullied for being there, and almost failed for it, people were actually horrible and the principal and teachers are all just big bullies, would not recommend going, the principal needs to be publicly shamed for the terrible things she did in my years there

Kids are constantly getting bullied and teachers are doing nothing about it, the teachers are also horrible you do not learn anything and they have little to no control over students.

This school is whats wrong with the school system , its poorly run , kids get away with bullying , its an absolute joke , this school is so bad we moved to put my daughter eles where ! I dealt with it for 3 years with my oldest and it just got worse and worse . They say barn hill does it best the have never done their best for ethier of my children. Honestly i have never seen such a poorly run system

If you're thinking about going to this school don't. You will get blamed for stuff you did not even do when there is vandalism they threaten to close the bathrooms for everyone and have 350 students use the same bathrooms. One specific teacher holds us back at break constantly and makes us do the same work over and over does not even try to help her students, she will not help with your French if u are not sure what to do.
I hope if you go to this school you don't have her. I love some teachers there is a lot of great teachers but mme Murphy Is not one of them, the best teacher you will ever have is Mme Lise she is the sweetest person you will ever meet and she is an amazing teacher as well at mme graham and miss Jenkins. Mme Holland can barley pronounce French words and does not help her students.
Miss muise is also a very nice vice

Probably a pathetic excuse of a school, the teachers are the worst and fail you for being out sick and they always suspend kids who defend themselves from bullying. My suggestion never come to this school EVER if you do runaway and drop out!!

Terrible school. If I could give zero stars I would. Teachers feel bullying students is okay. Despicable. So far there is no investigation of this issue and the principle does not care. School should be shut down and the principle should be publicly humiliated. There’s a video of the bullying that goes on between the teachers and students and it will hopefully be released soon.

This is the worst school ive been to, From lunches to teachers i have had a bad experienc. mme murphy is very rude in specific would not recommend

Pathetic excuse of a principle. I had to deal with her at a different school , a few years later my younger sister has the displeasure of having this woman as a principle. Ferguson picks on kids and is about as unbelievable as they come. God forbid a child have an issue at this school as it will just paint a big target on their back.
