Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saint John Harbour Side, an IHG Hotel

We stayed here for one night for my daughter’s 3rd birthday. Everything was great! Anthony at the front desk had amazing customer service. He really made us feel welcome-right from the first phone call at booking to check out. It was definitely the best front desk service I have ever had. The pool and hot tub were great. They even threw in some balls when they saw us swimming with the kids! We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back.

We stayed at this hotel and let me tell you it was the best service in Saint John by far. There’s is a gentleman named Anthony in charge, he was just amazing, kind, helpful and very professional. All the staff there is amazing. Everything was cleaned, sheets and towels replaced daily by the very kind and smiley cleaning lady. Breakfast was excellent. The experience all together was great but wouldn’t have been the same without Anthony being there. If I compare it to our last stay in saint Johns at chateau Saint John… this is waaay better.

In my opinion this Hotel should be the highest rated in the city. My Dad is in hospital and they got me in with short notice, put me in an area that would have the least noise possible and were more than hospitable. I will keep coming here anytime I’m in the city. The rooms are clean comfortable and the breakfast is great.

The sunset light hitting the hotel room made it feel like I was in a painting.
Gentleman at the front desk was very informative about the city and gave good suggestions for places to see in the city. Also printed out tide tables and explained the best times to visit the reversing falls.
Room was always clean and breakfast was good.

Customer service was exceptional with classic maritime friendliness. Specifically John and Brandon were extremely accommodating and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. Highly professional and friendly staff. Id recommend this hotel!

Always an awesome stay here .. its our go to spot.. hospitality is 2nd to none.. everyone that works here is so friendly.. beds are super comfy.. and 100% clean... our fav is the pool and hot tub .. plus the pub down under is next door .best food .. Big applause to Gm.. Brian and the crew ..front desk people rock.. john makes best popcorn..

Good breakfast. Clean and decent sized rooms. Indoor pool with jacuzzi was a real bonus in winter. Parking plentiful. Had a great stay here.

Amazing hotel with an even better view. We got upgraded to a king suite, breakfast was great, my only complaint would be the swimming pool-like thing in the parking lot. I ended up going flying and scrapped my knee and also you could hear everything in the hallway.

Room was very up to date and nice, we both thought the breakfast was good better then others we had in the past. ill definitely stay again next time in saint join

Loved this hotel and our experience. Location was a little odd, (but generally we found St Johns to be a little confusing from the start so the hotel isnt the issue).

We were welcomed by John Winchester, he was great. He provided us with all the information we needed and answered all our questions. At night him and a cleaning member took the time to give us location advice for our visit and we really appreciated it.

Breakfast was fantastic! My partner and I loved it, there was so much variety.

The pool and hot tub were A1 one of the best hot tubs I have ever experienced in a hotel. It was hot, bubbled and spacious. The pool was also great. Towels were provided too.

Hotel room had 2 queen beds, and alot of room. Everything was spacious and super clean.

We loved our stay.

Place was great good location very nice rooms definitely well worth the price. Which was reasonable for a place this nice. However what really was amazing was the man running the front desk between 3 and 11 on Monday August 7 2023. He was very helpful and friendly definitely the best front desk service I have ever had at a hotel ever and I have been to many hotels in my life. 11/10 cause the service was exceptional.

The guy on the desk was very friendly and ready to help in any way with info about food and things to do in the area.
Rooms are clean and there are black out curtains.

We were debating between this hotel and other better reviewed smaller inns and we did not regret our choice to stay here! We had the King Suite with a harbour view which honestly was nicer than I expected it to be from the pictures. The room was clean, the breakfast was great. Loved the pancake machine!

The only downsides were: The room neighboring ours decided to watch TV at 3 am and it kept us up. Bring earplugs, the walls are paper thin. Another thing is room service knocking on every door at 9:15 - checkout is at noon, they could probably use a different system if they want to start flipping rooms early instead of risking aggressively waking up guests and rushing us.

Holiday Inn Express Saint John was perfect! Beautiful and spacious rooms with comfortable beds + sheets with a good washroom too! Location of the hotel was great and not too far from tourist attractions like the Reversed Falls. Service was amazing! Staff was extremely nice and helpful! Anthony at the front desk helped us so much to find more information and attractions for Saint John and truly was just a great person to meet and we really appreciated his help!

Three weeks ago my sister passed at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was in the ICU for two weeks. My husband and I traveled up from upstate New York and other family from Maine. Four of us stayed 11 out of 14 days at this hotel. I can’t say enough good about this hotel. They offer a discount when you have family in the hospital. All the staff was exceptional from the front desk, to the lady who kept the breakfast area, to the cleaning staff to the maintenance man. The rooms were very clean and very nice. The morning my sister passed, the gentleman at the front desk expressed his condolences as did the lady doing the cleaning on our floor. I can’t say enough good about this hotel. If we ever go back just to visit we will definitely be staying at this Holiday Inn Express.

Warmly greeted by the desk at check in. Rooms were clean, beds were great and kids loved the indoor pool which was also well appointed.
Downtown restaurants were only a few minutes away.
Breakfast was also pretty darn good.

When we booked from Toronto to come here Brandon Cook, the lobby manager was very good and gave us excellent service. Upon arriving he was very helpful with a lot of information to give us. John & Anthony at the front desk were informative and guided us in all the site seeing places .

We always had a problem entering into our room with the key. We brought this to the notice of Sadie , house keeping and she said she would tell maintenance to get this resolved. She was courteous. Unfortunately, we’ve been here 3 nights and this is repeatedly happening. Our family was exhausted after a whole days journey and both our rooms would not give us access to enter in . I hope the management gets this resolved.

It's always a good rest and a good time. Well located, view of the harbour, cozy rooms, great variety for morning breakfast. The staff is professional and discreet. Nice grass patch for the dogs to play or just lay in the sun while enjoying a beer on their patio chairs.
I always go back there over the years.

location was convenient, as long as you have a car.

rooms were spacious and clean, loved their option to skip room keeping if not needed.

The nicest Holiday Inn we've stayed in over the past number of years! Clean, well kept, and a great staff that welcomed us and our pooch. Anthony at the front desk was not only very pleasant, but also a great tour guide for both local and regional sites.
