I went into Emergency early Saturday morning. From the time that we entered the hospital, I was so impressed with their kind staff. This includes the triage nurse, the EKG technician, the gentleman that did my blood test ( so gentle with the needle insertion) the chest x-ray technicians, the CT scan technician, the amazing young resident ( that will be an incredible Doctor) all the porters that had a great sense of humour, and finally and especially to the Doctor who was so kind and personable, that cleared me to fly home to BC. I hopefully have not missed anyone. It turns out that after completing the CT scan, that I had a blood clot in my lungs. This experience was scary, but each and every person at this amazing hospital made me feel safe and well looked after. Thank you all!

Despite being understaffed, overworked and underpaid, I must complement all of the ERs nurses and doctors. I just had my son there who is on the spectrum and everybody was so fantastic with him, polite, friendly, and patient. ! I know nurses and doctors don’t get nearly enough appreciation, so bravo and thank you you’re doing a wonderful job !

I wish to commend the staff & doctors at Saint John Regional hospital. A week ago I experienced a minor yet painful eye injury. I went to Outpatient around 4 am, and saw a doctor within an hour. Two more times I returned, and received help with pain mitigation, and further tests. The doctor set an appointment early the next morning to see an Opthomologist. I have since recovered nearly completely. I must commend the doctors and staff that took care of me, even though I know they are understaffed. We are so lucky to have tremendous medical care available to our community !

I brought my wife to the ER with a broken rib, and partially collapsed lung. They got her in immediately, was treated very well, and are now back home. I am very thankful for the hospital, and staff in the ER.

I had day surgery yesterday with Dr. Howatt. Every nurse was super nice and professional. Dr. Howatt and her team were amazing and made me feel at ease and so well looked after. The nurses in both of the recovery rooms were attentive and made me feel cared for and not rushed to go home. I know there have been a lot of complaints about the hospitals lately and I think it is only fair to also write about great experiences as well.

April 9 I had to have day surgery and I quite anxious about it.
I want to give a huge shout out to the staff of the Regional, ...from the moment I walked into the hospital, and was greeted and given a new mask, to the moment I was taken out in a wheelchair - the staff did all they could to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. Nurse Margaret, and all the other nurses in day surgery ..you ladies were so awsome, thank you very much. The orderlies "my drivers", Dr. Sheehan, my anesthesiologist, all the nurses in surgery.Thank you all very much !!

Tough position to be in for everyone. Not enough staffing, and the ones working are overworked. Same thing across the country....not their fault, my two kids working in healthcare tell us this same thing all the time.

Doctor Riley saw me for a bad eye issue. Arranged for specialist to see me the next day. Almost unheard of for long the wait times we usually see.

Both Dr's were professional and friendly, especially when you tell them you appreciate their time, and their efforts in an endlessly over burdoned system.

Given the circumstances they're in, a 5 star is due. Thank you both again Doctor's Riley and Symonds, for your care. Greg Hall

I had a quick visit to Day Surgery yesterday and I can't say enough about the quality of care, the sense of humour the nurses had, and just a general sense of ease when you're there from start to finish. I can't even believe I'm doing a Google review for a hospital visit but I couldn't keep it to myself....... Those ladies are amazing! Every last one of them...

I want to say thank you so much to all the amazing staff on 5th floor . I had a heartattack with a 80 % blockage and they took the absolute best care of me. Everyone cared about their job and it truly shows. Thank you all for taking care of me when my stubborn self wouldn't slow down to do so. Your all angels .

Not a fan of hospitals or St.John, but had to have a lung biopsy, and there was a chance of lung collapse, which happened. They seem like great people and they fixed me up and got me out of there, of that I'm grateful, and would like to thank the crew on Day Surgery, and the Doctor, as I know they did their best, and I'm fine. I was sure I'd never leave, when the trouble started. I had to stay that night, but they operated the next morning, and I'm fine. Murphys Law follows me sometimes, like an angry dog...somehow they must have distracted that dog, Probably with that hospital food, which is enough to scare away even the meanest dog..If that's what it was, I'd like to thank the kitchen staff as well, both of them...

Wonderful first experience with SJRH! It is night and day difference between the DECH and SJRH. The staff are all so friendly and I felt so confident in their skills. 🤩. Thank you!

Transferred by ambulance (which could have ended better if they told me before 10PM, in active labor for the last 5 hours & I called 3 times) from Moncton hospital to Saint John to deliver my healthy baby boy 3 months ago due to a power outage in Moncton. They were all ready, waiting for me. Great services. Great doctors, nurses & staff in general. I had to wait a few hours to get a dose of Tylenol but that's all I have to say. They don't provide much after the baby is born though (3-4 diapers, few pads and one pair of mesh panties).

I was admitted to the hospital on Sept. 26th, 2014 in the emergency dept., I had a heart attack. The care I received from the time the ambulance arrived, the emergency dept., heart procedure, then on to the cardiac care unit, and then discharged 4 days later. The care and compassion I received from ambulance staff, E.R. staff and doctors, heart procedure - Doctor and staff, Cardiac Care Unit, Doctors and staff was excellent, I have nothing but praise for all these people. How lucky I am to be living in a country that I would automatically get this care, how lucky we all are, we should never complain.
