The Ridge Roadhouse

Good lunch, and great view. Waitress was very kind and considerate. Stopped by for a bite to eat and was impressed by the view. But could use a couple trees knocked back in front. Not much to complain about other then fries could of used a little seasoning.

We stopped in for a bite and the staff were super. There was 11 of us, so they called in for back up. The waitress that came in from home was awesome. Our family recommends this place. Very accommodating. Even the two locals that were resident loggers were a pleasure to talk with.

Don't know how I managed to miss leaving a review for The Ridge Roadhouse, but apparently, I did (would have sworn that I had before because I loved the place).

Was there in late September 2021. Got there just in time just when it opened for lunch and minutes before a BMW motorcycle gang showed up to compete for the server's attention (not really a gang, they were four retirement aged riders - I envy them).

The burger was perfectly ordinary but still good. My wife's club sandwich was perfectly ordinary but still good. The beer we had was perfectly ordinary but still good. All was served reasonably quickly.

It's the location/site. Unbelievable. Set on the side of a ridge above the town. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. The outside deck is gorgeous. The views are phenomenal. If this place was anywhere near any kind of mainstream tourist destination, it would be hard-pressed to handle the huge crowds it would attract.

We had no expectations of Gold River or the Ridge Roadhouse before we got there. Would have been happy to get a meal we didn't choke on.

For that reason, we loved this place. Good food and outstanding location.

Highly recommend.

On our motorcycle road trip to gold river we stopped for lunch, we had the whole place to ourselves, and the patio was very nice 👍, The food was good, our waitress buggered up the order a bit and the 3 of us were brought 2 napkins and a ketchup packet each for our food. I mean it was a bit confusing as to how she got it so wrong but all in all the food was great.. we had alot if fun and when we left I was so full it was a bit of a challenge to ride my bike 🤣 , I would definitely return and the fact that it's the only restaurant that is in the town that sort of cements that fact but that aside it was a solid meal and the waitress aside from the confusion was really friendly and pretty too 😍 she was a good sport, the music was surprisingly good and the overall atmosphere was perfect. We love gold river for the ride down and having a meal like that was exactly what the doctor ordered.. The crows put in a bit of a show on the deck, but the view was 👌. And the bonus was getting to hear all the other bikes coming and going while we chatted about our trip 😀 who doesn't like that.

While visiting GR for the 1st time, we had lunch here. It was delicious and the staff we met are rockn awesome people! Would definitely go back.

Excellent food and a good selection of local beers, and a wonderful atmosphere for watching a game or supper with friends and family. My go-to is their deluxe burger with fries and gravy, classic pub meal done right in a generous portions and a delicious soft bun. Make sure you take the time to appreciate the artistic timber details in the architecture.

Great place. Great food. Great drinks. That Yorkshire dip is to die for! 10/10 will eat again!!!

Just been there the one time but it was a very pleasant experience, the staff is friendly and the hours are fantastic, considering that there’s no other options on a Sunday night. Would definitely visit again.

The new chef is awesome! Got takeout and was not disappointed. Hot, tasty and good portions.

I’ve been through GoldRiver two times before and lucky to not miss the Ridge Roadhouse this 3rd time!
Food was delicious (Vegan options!), and I’ve traveled to 100 venues a year and never has a pub impressed me with thier desserts until now. Wow and wow. Patio is a sweet summery surprise and everyone around us was handled with TLC and a good sense of service. We learned that they have their own shuttle! Cool 😎- next time!

Beautiful view. Were there on an extremely hot Saturday night. Place was packed and the staff was working hard and stayed cheerful throughout. Had fish and chips and a salad. Fish was super crispy, moist on the inside and very tasty. Nice beer selection and the Mariners on the TV. Excellent spot for a casual meal.

We were passing through with large group of people at 8 pm. Service was amazing. Our waitress went above and beyond making us feel welcome and telling us about Gold River. We will definately be back. Food was good too.

Called in for lunch after driving from Campbell River. Great welcome. Staff were very pleasant. Ordered Nachos and Cauliflower Bites and enjoyed an excellent beer for the 10 minutes that the food took to arrive (very freshly cooked). All was very reasonably priced.
Well done Ridge Roadhouse on doing a great job in extremely difficult times

Visited Gold River with my car club, what a beautiful drive and town. We all stopped in at the Ridge Roadhouse for lunch, my table all had the Caesar Salad with Prawns and garlic toast as the server recommended and wow she was right, the prawns were big and juicy and so fresh, great lunch and service. Worth the trip out, I’ll be back for lunch and to explore more of Gold River.

Deluxe burger was really really good!
Fresh made patty .fresh buns .really happy with dinner .I will order again .just up here working atm
