Words can't express our gratitude to the Sturgeon Hospital staff for their exceptional care and hard work before during and after the delivery of our baby. The nurses and all the staff went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience. Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication are truly commendable. We are forever grateful for the wonderful care we received.

Yes the emergency gets busy, yes there are wait times, yes it can be daunting! But these people are doing their best, time and funding allows them. They are human and have some bad moments but they show up for work and assist you daily. You have a voice, ask questions, be polite, but most of all take a look around the waiting room and realize that your not alone. Never had anything but respect and kindness shown while visiting for medical issues. Thank you to the staff at the sturgeon hospital!

Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. Was blown away by the time and care the nurses and doctors took with their patients to make sure they were comfortable. Truly incredible staff. 👏 🙏

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my time here at the Sturgeon community hospital. I delivered my first baby here in January and had the kindest nurses supporting me and my daughter, especially as she needed to spend her first night in the NICU. I felt we were carefully and compassionately cared for. My husband and I were a bit sad to go home, honestly!

So grateful for the careful care our daughter received at er yesterday. She had been to another er two days prior and had no follow up. She was staying with me and still not well so we went to this er in my area. It was a long wait but well worth it. Dr. Brown and her resident doctor did not stop until they figured out what was happening..the extensive tests showed appendix was issue but it had not been caught earlier since hers is in an unusual place. Dr. Chow was very thorough in explaining her options and she went in for surgery that night. Turns out there had been a rupture so we are ever grateful to these three amazing women who have made this Easter a happy one. Thank you so much!!!!

After being traumatized with my last hospital visit to the Grey Nuns, I was terrified to visit the emergency. But I ended up having a really positive experience. The wait times were low (for the emergency), all Medical Admin staff were very friendly which helped calm some of my anxiety. The Nurses and Dr. Wiens were very kind with there approach and were able to educate me about the situation without talking down to me and making me feel stupid.
Thank you so much to all the staff that were working on February 22 2024 around 4am.

Recently I unfortunately had to spend 12 hrs at the hospital emergency. During my visit I received nothing but respect and patience from every staff member. The waiting room was full, but everyone received the same respect. Thank you, for all your hard work.

Stellar staff - especially the nursing team! Well-run hospital! Excellent Doctors!

I was there for a family member in the ICU unit. The professionalism blew me away. The facility was comfortable, staff friendly, and knowledgeable, and the communication was timely and on point; it brings me back to how all hospitals should be run!

Well done - this team and facility are putting faith back into AHS

Had a minor heart attack and was airlifted from cold lake alberta to this hospital
From the moment I walked in I had the feeling I was welcomed and seen as a human being and not another patient or a number. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful making sure I had the things I needed. Checking in from time to time the 3 days I was here always felt was more a visit then in and out... I could not thank them enough for all they do and continue to do... for those who have bad experience I strongly suggest they check their attitude.. as it was likely their attitude that was the issue....
To the Dr and the nurses, blood work, ultrasound techs thank you all for the love and laughs
.. as scared as I was you all helped me deal with it they way I know how.. God bless you all

I was patient in 2017 at the sturgeon hospital, what a great experience at such an awful time in my life. It was wonderful from the rooms to the staff, even the food was good. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience Thanks to all there

This review applies to the entire postpartum ward and mainly one nurse. Cassidy was nothing but an absolute wonder to have as a nurse. Anything we needed she was on it, she was always happy and clearly loved what she did. She really made our stay after having our baby girl as picture perfect as you could make it. If you ever see this, thank you so much. Jesslyn, Alexis and John <3

I have Never in my life felt such genuine care at a hospital.
My wife and I went to get our baby induced, ended up having complications and had a c section.

The staff never pressured us into a c section, they were all SO HELPFUL, kind, empathetic and the Surgeon was Absolutely fantastic.
Highly professional, and will absolutely be returning if we decide to have a second child.

10/10 would recommend.

I genuinely couldn’t be more grateful to the labour and delivery staff at this hospital. I laboured for nearly two days and ended with an emergency c section. Every single nurse and dr was kind compassionate and caring. I want to give a shout out to Heidi who was my charge nurse during my stay in recovery not only was she incredibly kind she made me feel very comfortable and cared for during my time there and engaged in conversation every time she came by with my fiancé and I that we both appreciated. Thank you again to the sturgeon and all the staff

We had to come here to deliver because our small town hospital isn't capable. All the nurses and doctors we encountered over our 2 days there we above and beyond. We only experienced the delivery room and the post partum room, but it was the best possible experience.

I recently delivered my baby here on September 24, 2023. I ended up in an emergency C-section after 24 hours of labor. During my labor, surgery, and recovery, I had dealt with a lot of different nurses and doctors. And I loved every single one of them! Everyone was so attentive and helped me through the entire process. My baby Ella ended up in the Nicu the first night, and the Nicu nurses were so hands-on and amazing with her! And they let us spend as much time as we wanted with her. 10 out of 10 recommend delivering here, my only wish is that there was an option for a private room for recovery as I had an awful roommate the last night that was kind of ruining my experience. Everything else was fantastic!
