Sobeys Newcastle and the manager Peter Berbeka and his staff are incredible. Our church gives out Christmas Hampers to those in need and we couldn’t do it without Peter and Sobeys Newcastle!

Stopped in to grab some things quickly. Everything was great as per usual. Cameron, who scanned my groceries though, was beyond great. Cameron was exceptional!!
I was a bit stressed out as I dropped a jar of salsa, which obviously made a mess. Cameron was gracious, helpful and took extra care. Thank you so much, and I’m sorry about my mess.

Every now and then you come across a place that surprises you, soby's NewCastle is one of these places. One of the first things that you will notice is the layout, on the right side of the store you will notice all the fresh products, for example fresh hot to go items like chicken wings, ribs, homemade sushi rolls, salads and finger foods, baked chicken and even hot and cold sandwiches pre-made ready to grab and eat right away, which is great for people who are in a big rush and unable to make something on a short notice. You'll also find a fresh meat counter as well as a seafood and fish counter, deli meats ready to be sliced and a large assortment of cheeses looking for those hard to find T-Bones look no further they have those here too. You will also be able to get fresh cut fruit already portioned out on bladders or if you like small trays and containers for smaller groups. A fresh bakery with lots of breads cakes cookies squares and desserts to meet your fancy tastes. And walk over to the left side and you can go regular grocery shopping with all your known brands. The thing that strikes me about this store is there quality of products and how they meticulously stock the shelves in a very neat and organized manner the store is always kept very clean and the staff are amazingly friendly and are always willing to help whenever they are needed. The store manager is probably one of the friendliest people you will see and I can understand why his staff are so well in tune with the customer's needs. I have to say my hats are off to all the staff at sobey's Newcastle and thank you very much for having such high standards for us to shop in. Please keep up the good work as I know many as well as myself can say that this is my favorite sobies in Edmonton.

We come to this location, not only because it’s close to home but because it’s clean and organized. It isn’t overly busy and the cashiers have always been super personable, very fast and efficient.

Amazing bakery! If youre a dessert lover, you will definitely want to take a trip to the bakery.

Sobeys produce has always been fresh with a good selection. This a clean and well layed out grocery store.

I love this Sobeys! It has great Deli, Bakery & ready to go depts. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I am very familiar with this location so I know what to expect when I come here. I know what they have the best of and other things they don't stock well. Overall has everything I need and typically go here for my full grocery shop. It is clean in the stuff are friendly. Can't go wrong.

Honestly the nicest sobeys I've ever been in. It's a bit confusing if you're new to this store, as I am. It seems to be round. It's cool had everything I was looking for. Believe it or not but was rather less expensive than I expected. Very nice store!

This is a "smaller" neighborhood Sobeys, but it does a good job keeping up to the big boys. Always some sort of relevant sales going on, and very friendly staff.

I called 3 Sobeys bakeries in the area and they were the most friendly and helpful. Other ones sounded annoyed by my questions? I ordered a smash cake and cupcakes. Everything tasted great! Excellent value. Wish they offered mini size, for the kids.

This place is made by it's employees. Fantastic why don't other business strive for this employee- customer relationship? Well done...

I love this Sobeys. The produce section is large and it's always fresh; there's an in-store butcher and the staff is happy to help you find what you're looking for or cut it then and there; the bakery is really good with lots of bread, cookie, cupcake, and cake options. The whole store is clean and well organized. If self-checkout is important to you shop at the Sobeys on 153 Ave and Castledowns Road because Newcastle does not offer that.

Excellent customer service from Carol in the entertaining platters department! I made a mistake on my online order without realizing, but thankfully Carol recognized the issue and was persistent in trying to meet our needs. Thanks to her the issue with the online order was resolved. Rare find for such awesome customer service!

This is my fav grocery of all grocery stores since I began grocery shopping for myself when i started living on my own. I love the prepared meals section, as its healthy, fresh and a way better alternative than fast-food. I enjoy shopping here as it is quiet and they have v good working hours. The staff here are also helpful and not disgruntled like other big grocery stores.

A great experience in Sobeys Newcastle food section. A fine gentleman welcomed with broad smile and helped every way possible. He offered me to try the soup before purchase. What a great experience! Kudos.

This store has the nicest employees by far! The are always happy to help with a smile and a kind word. Store itself is very well organized, always stocked with fresh items and good offers. It is very clean and always smells delicious. Carts are always available and cleaned thoroughly.

A bit dark inside. But great quality as always.
