Turtle Jack's Waterdown

We had a team hockey party here and it was the best and most efficient experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant with a team. We were welcomed by the owner and he didn’t hesitate to make sure we were all set and had what we needed. Our waitress was amazing - food was delicious and came out earlier than expected. We would definitely eat here again! Thank you.

It was my birthday. My very lovely daughter took me to this venue. The food was great. She ordered calamari. Wonderful. For herself, she had chicken pasta and I had chicken tacos...so much food. And then a lovely share plate with hot chocolate syrup on brownie, ice cream with praline crumble and a candle. Scrumptious! We had a lovely waitress.

Accessibility
There’s parking in the shoppers drug mart parking lot and a dedicated parking lot on the north side of the building. Wheelchair accessible parking spots are available, and a wheelchair accessible entrance is available. GPS will take you to the middle of the plaza, however it is actually at the corner of the plaza. There’s a male and female bathroom with child changing stations. Delivery through Uber eats is available along with takeout.

Menu
For appetizers we ordered the onion soup which was essentially a French onion soup. It was very good. For our mains I ordered the fish tacos and my girlfriend ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap. Overall the food was good. I liked the fish tacos and my girlfriend liked her wrap. The salads we ordered as sides were very good.

Prices were very reasonable for this day and age. I was happy with the bill when we got ready to leave. The place was packed. Tons of people in there. It would be a great spot to have some type of event or party. There’s also a kids menu. Along with other dietary restriction options; vegetarian, vegan, healthy options. Happy hour is also available however we did not make it in time for that.

Service
The service was fantastic. One of the best servers I’ve had in my life. He was very friendly and helpful. Very attentive and recommend the fish tacos which I was very happy about. He was more then happy to attend to any requests we had.

Other
What I really liked about this place is how you could come here for a bunch of different events. It works for date night, dinner with the family, or if you’re just looking to grab a few drinks. It’s a great all around restaurant.

Overall 9/10 - The food could maybe be a bit better but it was still a great restaurant. Would recommend this over a place like montanas or Jack astors any day.

First time ever been at this restaurant. Stop to celebrate and it was so comfortable we were there a good 2 hours or more. Depends on where you sit there was a fireplace that made it feel like home. Take some time out with family it is a very welcoming place. 🥰❤

The food was great and customer service was exceptional from receptionist to the server. Yesterday, I came here alone for dine out after a hike. And when I got there the receptionist asked me if I am here alone or someone will be joining. I said just alone. She asked me if I'd like the booth and gave me a very nice booth spot. I could see the patio, bar which looked cute and cozy, and the TV. Nice spot. And server was also very amazing. I wanted to order fish & chips, I mentioned I'd like it without beer batter she explained they can't do that, and suggested another dish. I asked her about halal options she went to the kitchen to ask which was really nice. Unfortunately there are no halal options but I decided to stay regardless because of their excellent customer service and the cozy and warm ambience of the restaurant, and ordered caesar salad and fries. And when I ordered fries she got me a bunch of things like vinegar, ketchup etc, very nice. Thank you so much for making me feel at home at your restaurant. You have a great team. 💖

Amazing food and amazing service!!! Our favorite location, sure to come again soon. Oh, the dessert, especially Ice n' Fire, and our new favorite, Sticky Toffee Pudding, yummy 😋

The best fish and chips in Waterdown.

Overall great food and I have been many times and only on a single occasion where the service was poor as the young waiter was not as attentive as the rest of their colleagues generally are with everyone else.

We had a big group of 12 in today and had Lily as our server. She was pleasant, and seemed to take her job seriously. She was on time with everything and made sure everything was good once we had our meals. The food was delicious with no complains from anyone at our table.
I haven't had great service and great food all in one in a while. Great job!

My wife and I walked to TJs as we live close by. I had the half rack of ribs with honey garlic sauce - very tasty and swapped out the fries for Fried Smashed Potatoes- Bacon, asiago, Cajun butter, rosemary salt, chipotle mayo, parsley... they were great 👍

Everything was great! Had steak fajitas, and chicken rolls. Both were delicious! Server Natasha was very nice.

I love this place. Been to a few in other locations and they are all very cozy, friendly... great food, wine, cocktails... Not much parking, great prices...

I placed an order online with Skip, which turned out to be a mistake on my part as the driver never picked up the order. Skip kept telling me it was as delayed as the restaurant was busy. After waiting over an hour and a half (the drivers location on skip wasn’t even showing at the restaurant) I decided to give Turtle Jacks a call to get an ETA. I spoke to a gentleman on the phone who was absolutely amazing, he had explained the order was ready and waiting but no driver had shown up. He apologized for Skips actions and was extremely helpful and polite. He offered to remake the food as he understood that we probably hadn’t ate yet. The food was absolutely amazing, steak was cooked perfect along with the vegetables. To top it off they even gave a complimentary dessert even though it wasn’t their mistake. Absolutely top notch service and I am looking forward to dining in, in person. I love this location as they go above and beyond for my food allergy even though at other locations mushrooms seems to be added into the vegetable mix, Waterdown still gives me a ton of variety and not just carrots as a side.

Service was excellent, prompt and friendly service. The food was delicious. Best chicken tenders around. The burgers are amazing too.
Atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the bar on one side and a fireplace in the dining area. Bathrooms are super clean and well maintained. (Always important)
The owner really goes out of his way to make sure the customers are happy. Great value for your money.

After camping for 4 nights and arriving here for lunch, I was so impressed with all the staff, from front desk to being shown our table, my friend had a dog which they even allowed on the patio. The customer service is on another level, as I live on the other side of Toronto I don't experience such good customer service so it was refreshing and renewed my hope in the service industry.
This was my 2nd time here, where I was able to try the patio which has a nice atmosphere.
The food is tasty, the gravy is delicious and the chicken strips look delicious too. I had the blackened chicken on naan, light and filling.

Had an amazing experience with Garry, the owner of this place! The moment we walked in, the atmosphere was nice, garry was pleasantly soft spoken and sweet. He made sure we had a great time, food & service.

Came in yesterday with a group of almost 30ppl to celebrate a birthday and I had to review to let you know how GREAT the experience was. As a local resident (and frequenter of TJ’s Waterdown) we have always been a big fan of the location. But yesterday exceed all other experiences I’ve had you with you. The 2 servers in our section were attentive, prompt, friendly and well organized. constant table touches and refill offers kept the guest very happy! The food…… the kitchen KILLED it!! As a life long chef, I wanted to give huge kudos to the BOH team. Everything came out in perfect fashion, perfect timing and perfect taste. All the guest raved about how good everything looked, tasted and how organized it all came out (again shout out to the FOH team for being so accurate with writing down and punching in the order)
I don’t give many reviews in general as i tried to not criticize or critique where I eat. But both the FOH and BOH teams deserve huge praise and shoutout for creating a memorable dining experience!
I’d give 10 stars if I could! It’s deserved
