It's a beautiful park. Amazing views of river and Saint John city. The wooden engraved statues present important figures of history as you walk through the gravel path. Nice place to have evening or morning walks. Lots of benches are kept and good for picnic.
Wolastoq means “the beautiful river” in the language of the Maliseet people who once lived on our shores. Built in 2004 by J.D. Irving, Limited, the park overlooks the reversing falls rapids and features a collection of wooden statues of historical Saint John figures. The park is currently maintained by J.D. Irving, Limited.

Medium sized park on a hill right beside St John River. The park primarily overlooks the Reversing Falls Rapids. There are picnic tables, various flags, and numerous small statues around the park. There's sufficient parking, a loop road to drive around the park. On the north side of the park, there's a rather steep staircase leading down to the Reversing Falls lookout trail.

This park is in a great location to see the downtown of St. John's and also the rapids below. Bring a jacket it's pretty windy and the chills come quickly. Has several states and scenic displays for you to enjoy.

This park is not large but nice, especially from this place, you can enjoy the whole view of the city and the beautiful Riversing Falls beside it.
It's also one of the great place to learn about history's Wolastok tribe. There are many wood statue about this tribe.

Park is delightful. Well maintained with beautiful view of the reversing tide on the St John river. Cultural stories are told through statues and plaques. Supported and maintained by Irving company.

Enjoy the history display of great people who have contributed to our community. Watch the the powerful water of the Wolastoq (Saint John River) empty into the bay or watch the bay flood the river at the Reversing Falls Rapids. See remnants of the past fishing industry and the presents of current industry. Reflect on the story's, both legend and historic of this important place. This is a wonderful place to visit.
