Wells Recreation Park

Great hike and lots of trails. Can get lost easily so take a trail app to avoid wandering around for hours.

There are a bunch of fields here for baseball, basketball and soccer. But the big bonus is the fully fenced back to back dog parks that give a ton of room for your pup to run around. With two different sizes of parks, you can even pick the larger or smaller park based on your comfort level. Not far off the highway so very accessible to get to.

We stayed on the main trail. Well groomed. Very large fenced in dog park with seating for owners. Seating along trail which is awesome. We will definitely be back.

Wells is a pretty awesome park, with a lot of trails.

You can literally stick to the main trail for a quick and easy hike, or take any of the side trails to add on some extra kilometers.

Trails are generally well maintained, although some side trails can be a little soggy.

They even groom the main trail during winter.

It's quite popular and sometimes very busy.

Parking is usually great, but with construction going on for the new community building it's a little chaotic.

Definitely worth a visit.

Bring your pooch (if you have one) and get some fresh air.

Absolutely awesome park. We were wowed.
Trails and alleys, benches - my Mom is a senior and she was really happy , that she can have some rest on the walk. Quite a few garbage bins and boxes with dog’s poop bags help to keep it clean. Everything is designed for great and pleasant walks . Our respect to those, who designed and taking care of this park, outstanding job!
Nice fully fenced dogs park, divided in two sections- for smaller dogs and the larger dogs.
Sad to say that some dog owners are too ignorant to clean after their dogs, even though there are free poop bags provided. Please, do not think that I have something against dogs - I own 2 myself, perhaps that is why I do not understand why it could be a problem to pick up after them .

Great walk today on both the main and forest trails followed by a nice relaxing bout of people watching from a shady spot in the tall grass. 😎

The trails are so well groomed! My dog loves it there!

It's a lovely place to walk and snow shoe. So many different trails to explore. Just such a shame that the dog walkers don't pick up the poop!

Great walking trail that has a dog park at the beginning. Trash bins along trail and benches. With km markers. Great for a 30-45 min hike on flat ground.

This is a slice of heaven in our neighbourhood. Amazing trails, well looked after. New signage has certainly helped!
