Safeway Fort St John

So far I have found FSJ Safeway to have great produce for the price, varies which items are the freshest, I believe the produce truck comes Thursdays. Natural food section, seafood, meats, deli and bakery here, I find the French baguette sell out fast though. Lots of self serve check outs and regular tills. Easier to find parking here than Save On or No Frills, especially for trucks with long trailers.

They have wide variety of fresh produce with reasonable prices.
You can find any kind of cheese that is my favorite part.
Also fruit, bread and meat’s products are so tempting.

Safeway is very good to shopping. My wife works in a Safeway so I usually try and go there as much as I can cuz we collect the points for food. The only thing there wasn't enough cashiers sometimes when I went there. I don't like self-checkout. It's too easy for people to steal food through there

Great clean store. Friendly helpful staff. As with most grocery stores, the typical cart/basket troubles plague them, but it's workable. Been a Safeway shopper for 20 years and don't plan on changing.

Awesome place. The manager, Andrew McKee, is very responsive to customer concerns. Hazel helped me with getting a large order at the sale price although I’m out of town and couldn’t get there in time. Sharon in the floral department has been so helpful and cheerful. There are others - they have somehow acquired a lot of very good people. Congrats to Andrew on a job well done!

After ordering a $150 bouquet from a flower business and being disappointed, I tried Safeway. Bernie - she was the florist that day - made an arrangement that just blew me away. The recipient was so happy. Safeway FSJ gets my business!

While traveling, we shopped here recently because a nearby, large chain store was focused on promoting LGBQTP+ flags over their assited checkout lanes rather than well stocked food items. For example, the 1st store had ZERO Truvia sweetners in 680 gram size, but Safeway had multiple versions. We bought several items there & were very impressed with the focus on quality, store arrangement, and selection options. Thanks, Safeway!

Good food as in bakery and meat depo and fruit . Even this way up north . Good selection . Freindly Staff . You can't go wrong here

What a nice store! Lot's of English speaking staff that have class, manners and tact. The meat, fruit and vegetable departments are always fresh and presentable. The bakery is also so very fresh. My associates, friends as well as myself will always shop there as the staff there all really take pride in there store. Also it is nice to see the staff and management take pride in how they look by wearing respectable uniforms and always looking clean and neat.

Really enjoy shopping at Safeway, they have a huge produce section, I don't shop there as often as I would like to as I find them a bit more pricey then the.competition. Their deli and bakery are awesome and I especially like their build your own sandwich and Flatbread.

Looks Great!, Been a very long time since I Shopped here. It is totally different from when I used to work in the Deli Dept, Years ago. I only was inside for a few minutes, enough time to purchase 1 item. It may take me a few more Shopping visits to relearn the layout to the Store. Lots of Great Sales of Toilet Paper!, The 1 item that I purchased, although I did forget my Air Miles card Today. Plus the Debit machine at the Self Checkout did not Work, the first time. The Staff Member had to Reboot the Debit machine. Thanks for your Help. lots of parking, convenient location. is a nice clean store with both self checkout and manned checkouts. fruits and vegetables are of good quality

Safeway is one of my favourite grocery stores, they have wide aisles so you rarely have to say “just gonna scootch right by ya”. The employees are friendly and helpful. And I like the gas discount coupons you get at the end :-)

Great selection of popular brands. fairly priced for the area. clean, tidy, friendly and helpfull staff. every time I have gone and it has got busy, they seem to open more cashier's making the wait times quicker.

We were here to buy a cake around 10pm and nobody was there to help us out at bakery section so we went asked for help the lady at deli section. That lady was so rude she just ignored us I asked her can you send some help at bakery but she just busy whatever she was doing so i went at front and asked for help.The guy name DEEP help us out..he was very friendly and helped us out..Cake was delicious🤤 as usual but that lady😡

Fort st. John Safeway is extremely clean and well-stocked. The produce it's always fresh! The ladies and gentlemen that work at the tills and in the bakery and then the deli I've always been fantastic. At the tills on Blue Friday they are very patient hahaha. At the deli they allow me to be my picky self. And I've ordered from the bakery many times and they always try to accommodate interesting and special orders.

One downfall that happens on and off is things like promotional stuff the groceries are tagged early enough.( so if you go shopping early in the morning you have to scour your flyer you can't just look on the Shelf) And are restocked enough On promotional days. I was imagining the sales they would make on a blue Friday if they just kept the toilet paper coming or the bacon. lol I have friends that told me they go and it's all out. I don't know the logistics of this but I would love it if it was rectified. Because it is an amazing grocery store for our small town. It could be because of our staff turnover that we have here in the city.
