Safeway Parkgate Village

My local Safeway. My friends worked here in high school. It has been a big part of the community for years now. The prices are sometimes really great. Look for deals in the meat department. Love the hamburgers when they are on sale. Recently while chickens were crazy cheap. Sometimes prices seem a tad high for things. Overall though a great place to shop.

Nice little store. Pretty much everything you need in groceries. Friendly people. The price of the deli turkey seemed very expensive to me, but what do I know. I like it

My daughter and I went there to order her a cake for her birthday. The lady in the bakery was very helpful and friendly.
My daughter is in a wheelchair and non-verbal. When we went to self check there was 3 spanish ladies working and they made my daughters day. They sang Happy Birthday to her in english and spanish then gave her 2 balloons to put on her chair. What an amazing and kind experience

Good place to work and shop at! They replaced some bad managers and I think it greatly improved the environment. They have very good selection for very decent prices. They staff keep the place very clean and they upkeep the aisles very well. The staff are quite friendly as it's quite a community. Keep up the good work!

It's my local supermarket and does a very good job at having what I need when I'm caught short. Generally you'll always find the big brands here, and it's worth noting that the own brand stuff is very good as well. Produce is fresh and lasts a long time. I would say bread isn't that good, and I sometimes find prices a bit high, but not so much I wouldn't go. Also, the self checkouts work very well and I quite like popping in for some food from the warm counter.

Great local market. Has everything you could need. Great meat selection and produce. Friendly staff and has a Starbucks. Only downside is at winter, people headed to mount Seymour fill the parking lot.

This Safeway store is one of the best! It is kept well stocked, has an in-store bakery, a Starbucks, a pharmacy, a lottery kiosk, and numerous grocery items with their own brand that are indistinguishable from the more expensive national brands. The staff are both friendly and very helpful. In these times of Covid-19 concerns, the store has designated personnel at the entrance to assist shoppers with hand sanitizing and to sanitize shopping carts and baskets. Add all this to the fact that the store is located in a shopping 'village' which includes a pet store, liquor store, Shoppers Drug Mart, Husky Gas station, a Fruit and Vegetable store, travel agency, pet grooming, a credit union bank, a sushi restaurant, a Little Caesar's, an A&W, and another small restaurant affiliated with a popular restaurant in Deep Cove. On the second story of the west section of the village are professional offices and a Lab One facility. And just when you're ready to say "Who could ask for more?", I neglected to mention the sleep apnea store for those of us encumbered with this problem.

Easy, convenient, friendly and helpful staff and is usually not busy, so if your in a rush you can be in and out fast; depending on your shopping list, produce is always fresh and so is there meat, the staff at the butcher shop is always helpful.

Best sandwich bar ever! Please be polite to the deli staff, they are often overworked and deserve your respect. (former deli and meat department worker but not at this chain). Thanks.

Picked up the best apple turn overs from their bakery! They were all gone by 10am at my home.
