Mission Ridge Animal Hospital

We came across Mission Ridge Animal Hospital after looking for a new vet for our pets. We are so happy to have found such a warm and welcoming clinic, all the staff are great and the Vets are amazing and provide great information. We just recently had to put down our sweet Chica and it was handled with such compassion and kindness. We couldn’t be more thankful. Then our puppy had an incident with a toxic substance and they were so quick to get us in as soon as possible and helped her with a treatment plan, and follow ups… Piper is now on the mend thanks to Mission Ridge.

Mission Ridge is amazing, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and super caring. Kendra always has a smile on her face and it is much appreciated!! My animals feel no fear coming here, they always get lots of love and snuggles from the staff (treats too of course!!) Thank you staff at mission ridge for all you do for my furry family!

First experience with these professionals was terrific, I brought in a stray cat (she had shown up on an oil rig) to get taken care of and the vet, technicians; and reception staff were phenomenal. Super thorough, quality care and communication, full transparency about price AND options BEFORE charging you (idk but I’ve never gotten that from a vet before), a genuine love and affection for this sweet cat and like, so much more good stuff. Happy they’re close by, I’ll be taking my other cat here too!

Our recent visit to Mission Ridge was, as always….very successful. Our pet’s problem was resolved very quickly. By the next day she was back to normal and very happy. The management and all of the staff at this clinic are to be commended, and highly recommended.

We recently moved to St. Albert and I took a lot of time and consideration into finding the perfect vet for my dog. She suffers some pretty severe anxiety and can't handle a lot of new people, other pets or new places. All of the staff at mission ridge were very patient with her and understanding. They did everything they could to help her feel safe and comfortable. She definitely had her best vet experience yet!

We adopted our first family pet, a kitty and needed to find a vet. When I called to book the appointment the lady I spoke to was very polite, helpful and informative. She got us into an appointment for time and day that worked best for us! When I arrived at the clinic for our appointment the staff was welcoming and checked us in quickly, our appointment started on time. We saw Dr. Lori Skrypnek and she was wonderful! She was so sweet with our kitty and my son. She took the time to answer all our questions and give us advice on best practice for a health happy cat! I really appreciated the time she took to explain everything to us and even showed us how to cut our kitty's claws. I have full confidence that we made the right choice with Mission Ridge Animal Hospital. Thank you too all the staff!

We are so lucky to have such an amazing vet clinic. They are always able to fit us in when we have the need and they are all caring, compassionate and knowledgeable people. We are thankful we are clients here and feel confident that our pet is in the best hands at Mission Ridge.

The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The vet was very thorough and provided options for testing to arrive at a diagnosis. Lab results were relayed in a timely manner. Ongoing support has been provided.

Both visits have been very pleasant and informative! Offices were clean and safe for our puppy. No pressure or feeling of being forced into services we didn’t feel required and weren’t shamed for our decisions like some previous vets we’ve been to. Highly recommended!

Her compassion (bed side manner) for your fur baby and you is authentic.
So much so, she becomes an important part of your pets life journey, through both the good and the bad/sad visits.
Example *She came to our home just as the world pandemic was starting to shut everything down. I had Cleo, a very sick mini- dachshund, terrified of the office, but only because of toe nail trims 🥰
Instead of subjecting our family and Cleo to that anguish, she accommodated our request. Cleo passed in peace. 💕
She has been a gift for us, on more than just one occasion. ♥

Dr. Katherine is amazing. She takes the time to really explain what is going on with your pet. She gives you all the options for treatment so pet owners can make informed decisions.

I was been here for almost 2 years, when I got my first furbaby. He does his regular check-ups and vaccines in this clinic. Staff are nice. But 2 weeks ago when my dog got sick, I really wanted to thank Dr. Catherine, for doing an extra mile of care for my dog by following up on how my furbaby is doing and being able to answer all my concerns.

Dr. Lori is very passionate about her job and caring for our pets, Molly & Charlie. The staff are also very helpful and pleasant.

I bring my cat and dog here. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and very good with my scaredy cat and drama queen dog. I have been very pleased with how they handle my pet's health issues and their follow-up of visits.

I was redirected by my regular vet and all the staff at Mission Ridge Animal Hospital were friendly accommodating and took care of my little pooch! A very nice facility.

Our little dog was really suffering from pain during the night, so we called Mission Ridge the next morning and they said to bring her right in.They were very caring. Because of her stance they said it looked like back pain. They did blood tests to rule out other problems, did x-rays, and sent her home on 3 different meds for pain management and rest (no running and jumping). Dr. Kelley called us with the results when they were available. On the medications and rest, she was a different dog the following morning. Dr. Kelley recommended an acupuncture treatment, which Dr. Wood did. Thank you to the Drs. and Staff at Mission Ridge! They were great. Hopefully she continues to improve.

Mission Ridge veterinarian hospital has been providing care for our pets and our children’s pets for 30+ years. They are always professional, honest and caring. Dr. Takacs has provided personalized care for our dogs and now grandpets and has gone above and beyond in providing the best care. As new fur babies have joined our families we have always brought them to Mission Ridge.

I brought my 2 cats for a checkup. One is very timid and fearful, the other is extremely active and curious. Katherine was our vet and I was extremely happy with the excellent care she gave them. She even brought a box into the room for my fearful cat to feel safe and hidden. She had several suggestions for me to try, for a concern I had with 1 of my cats. The other staff members were so friendly and helpful too! I highly recommend Mission Ridge Animal Hospital.

I had my previous dog with the vets at Mission Ridge. They are the best and that is why I have my current dog with them. I will have any future pets with them as well.
