Small store for easy and quick shopping. We bought drinks and easily paid at the self-checkout kiosks.

AH stands for Albert Heijn. It is a very busy market with a variety of stocks. You can definitely find anything you like. Sometimes they offer special discounts as well

Located in the basement of the beautiful former post office. Friendly staff. Large assortment of products. Self scan with your phone available or at the terminals. Can get really crowded though.

I loved it. So much thing to see and buy.Also you can self-scan your items and pay them with debit card,an employee stands there if you need any help with that.

I give five stars to this supermarket because it has an endless variaty of gluten and milk free products that you are not going to find in others, especially. It has everything well-organized and it is impossible to get lost when you are doing the shopping.
The cons are exactly what a lot of users commented here about the long queues plus impossibility to use your credit card in case that you do not want to go to the cashier.
They need to improve these two disadvantages.

Centrally located supermarket with an amazing selection of goods. Cheeses of all kinds, beers from all over Belgium, but also from the US, great deals, well organized. The prices are quite good as well. It has self-checkout too! Heartily recommended!

Very busy, city-centre market, but staff are pleasant despite the crowds. One thing I'll note for future residents here: the bottle-recycling machine is at the very far left at the back of the store out of sight, and you can cut through the bakery area to get to it.

Great supermarket, friendly staff. Has so many Belgian things I love., and a lot of good Organic food. High quality foods and reasonable prices. In UK for eg I can't find Blood Orange Juice anywhere. I miss this place already...

Good shop! it is very crowded in the pick hours. Selfscan queue with local bankcards is the fastest. For the tourists: they don't take credit cards! prepare cash.

Lots of good restaurants with major discounts if you're a student. There's a froyo place that sells bubble tea, a geek bar where you can play games, a starbucks, a hamburger bar, etc.

Albert Heijn supermarkets are great! If you don't have a bonus card, you can just ask for one at the front desk without registering. Low prices, lots of sales, and all of their prepared salads and juices/smoothies are great too!

don't hesitate, if it's crowdy, to take the self scanning machines to pay (at the left of all other queues)

After all these reviews I can only say take a look at the sandwich spreads, awesome variety they even have lemon curd. Also make sure you're queuing in the right line; cash only/card only/ cash or card.

Nice supermarket. Open till 8 pm. Quite a lot of variety of sandwiches and salads along with nice collection of wines and beers to take along and enjoy at the river bank whilst enjoying nice weather.
