Ludo Kafe

Great coffee, amazing moelleux, everything is vegan too which is fantastic. There’s lots of space to sit and in the afternoon the outside terrace sunlit ☀ One of my new favourite’s in ghent!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ludo Kafe in Ghent, and I must say it was an absolute blast! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that exuded a sense of fun and excitement.

The concept of combining a board game café with delicious food and drinks is simply brilliant. As a board game enthusiast, I was thrilled to see their extensive collection of games spanning various genres and difficulty levels. Whether you're a casual player or a seasoned strategist, Ludo Kafe has something for everyone.

The staff at Ludo Kafe were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about board games. They were more than happy to recommend games based on our preferences and even taught us the rules of some new games we were unfamiliar with. Their enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to our experience.

The food and drinks at Ludo Kafe were equally impressive. The menu offered a great variety of options, from light bites to more substantial meals. We ordered a couple of their signature sandwiches and were blown away by the quality and taste. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was top-notch. The barista also crafted some fantastic coffees and refreshing beverages that complemented our gaming session perfectly.

What truly sets Ludo Kafe apart is the attention to detail and the cozy ambiance they've created. The café is beautifully decorated, with comfortable seating arrangements that make you feel right at home. A great find! We had breakfast here twice because we loved it so much. The warm vegan cheese croissant, sandwich with vegan homemade mozzarella, and cinnamon roll were our favorites. The fresh mint tea and plain croissants were also great! There is a little outside terrace with nice seating located along a cosy street where you can look at the water and the people walking past. There is also plenty of seating space on the inside. The service is friendly and quick. We really enjoyed our breakfast and will definitely return!

The old flour mill has been reincarnated as a cafe for the second time. It was a nice enough place while the Barrista chain operated it, but the staff turnover was high. These new folks are friendly, invested in providing a superior dining experience without pretension, and most importantly.. the are really good bakers.

Delicious food and drinks. I absolutely recommend the milky drinks, everything is strictly plant based. I LOVED the red wine (very round taste) and the snacks, plus the view with the lights reflecting on the water is beautiful.
Most importantly, Maarten, the host, is the best!! Kind and friendly, and clearly committed to running a sustainable and vegan-friendly business.

everything was perfect! we had an amazing late night snack with lasagne and quesadilla, and came back next day for brunch and coffee :) so nice that it’s completely vegan!

Food was really excellent. Had the sandwich with pesto and homemade mozzarella. Hadn't found a vegan cheese I liked until today. Cinammon roll was soooooooo good. Fast and friendly service. Good prices.

I went here by recommendation from various sources and was not disappointed. A great vegan place with tasty food and a good beer selection. Their homemade ice tea is very good as well.
