The Vintage Inn & The Vintage Grand

We spent 3days here. Everything about this place is special. The food, service and the infra are very good. The location too in a quiet neighbourhood adds charm.

We stayed at the Vintage Inn for two nights. It is a great place to stay and their food is great. The attached bathrooms are a little small but that's fine for vacationers like us. Location is great and the staff are very cordial. We requested for food without chilly as there were two kids with us and it's great to see the kids enjoying their meal. They have this complimentary Breakfast which is so 😊😊😊

My family (8 of us) stayed at the Vintage Grand in Jan 2023. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms and amenities were clean and comfortable. The owner and staff were very attentive and helpful. The food and services were good. We also used the banquet hall to host a large event. Everything (food, set up, etc) was handled by the hotel. I plan to use this hotel again in future. It is centrally located and easy to visit all the sites in and around the area.

The location of the hotel is good. There are two properties opposite to each other. The Vintage grand is the newer one and the rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel employees were very polite and friendly. The food was good too. Food needs to be ordered well in prior to the dinner time so they can keep it ready when we go. The lady Manager was courteous, responsive and managed well.

We hosted a memorial service for my wife’s mother on January 29, 2023 at the Vintage Grand Hall. We also stayed at the hotel for several nights in preparation. We loved every moment and we are totally satisfied with everything - the rooms, the service, the hospitality, the food. We will definitely be using the Vintage Grand again!

I stayed in the Vintage Inn among the varied options available at this property simply to feel like a part of the history of the house. Living in a 170 year old house is indeed something! Hulda mam was exceptionally helpful with planning my trips and finding a cab driver and negotiating the fare. Mam and Solomon sir both would ensure and check if I returned safely everyday. The musical evenings will forever stay in my memory! Being a vegan I was worried about food but their chef always had good options for me to choose and eat. I was happy with the facilities in the room and the private bathroom and hot water. I felt safe in this place as a solo traveller.

Stayed at the vintage grand for 2 nights. The hospitality of the owner Mrs Kynta & her invaluable suggestions about the places to visit left us with fond memories of our stay. Our stay was comfortable & the staff was very responsive and courteous. Overall a pleasant experience.

This is an amazing place. Owner is a gentlewoman. Great hospitality. It has a scenic in house Yoga point. It also has good collection of books in their Library and a small but interesting museum. A must visit. If you speak to owner or at reception, they will guide you genuinely and it will of great help.

Such a beautiful homestay. The inn keeper was a very sweet woman who made sure we had everything we might need. The food was great . Very cozy rooms with all the basic amenities, located just near a beautiful stream. Also, a few friendly furry pets are a huge plus to stay here. Wonderful experience.

The vintage Inn cottage in sohra has a elegant ambiance and was hard to take a leave from there. The owner was very hospitable, even rain -coats were provided along with complimentary breakfast. If they can improve the Wi-Fi systems, there won’t be anything to worry of .Thanking the entire team of vintage Inn for all the great deed,Wishing you all the best.

Excellent place to live in Cherapunji. Agree that there is a sound eco issue in current rooms but the owner is trying hard to resolve this issue soon. I stay there with my whole family with 3 rooms and having a great time. Rooms are clean n boys are really helpful.

As the name said Vintage inn it's really a vintage place. A place that really will take you to the oldest history.
They have varieties of rooms right from private room, beautiful dorm and an apartment for family.
The have a cute restaurant and the decor is classy.
Got a badminton court outside which is just added for outdoor game.
The place is sourounded by tree and lots of Bamboo trees at the back.
I have no regrets takin my Guest in this property as there are always no complaint.

Was planning a trip to Cherrapunji and looking for a place to stay and came across The Vintage Inn. It was a standout compared to some of the other choices!

What appealed particularly was the Shillong-of-yesteryear bungalow style architecture and the quality of internal finish.

Would be great to get more info on its location in relation to Cherra’s points of interest - the Falls, Caves and trekking paths, as well as any details on local restaurants nearby.

The owner of the property Mrs. Hulda is really great and friendly. The property is well maintained with a great restaurant. Ms. Shina in restaurant was super prompt and amazing in service.

Homely and cozy. The hosts are awesome, and it's better to book directly rather than through Airbnb. The restaurant also serves good food.. totally worth the money.

Beautiful hotel and courteous staff. The best place to stay in Sohra/Chirapunjee.
They have acoustic night happening every evening from 7pm to 9pm

Located near to the main center, nice rooms, less food menu but very good food.

The hotel management will welcome you with the warmest hospitality. The rooms are nice and staff is also very friendly.

One of best best I ever have stayed , especially family attitude of owners (both uncle and aunty) , Good and kind hearted person..... For cook Mr Dewan - his hand have magic in cooking, keeper staff Mr Dongbo - language barrier was there but still had good conversation...... And alot more to write , below in photos, a guide map made by Aunty , that helped to explore Cherrapunji within 2 days ......
