Very cheap room, doesn't have any amenities like toiletries, towel, tea coffee, TV.
However for me it was cost effective for a 1 night stay.
Gyeser is there, a warm room.
I am giving 5 stars as I'm satisfied with the stay.

You need to book via call, don't expect anything major. It is just fine to spend just a night.

We arrived @5pm and left by 9am so for us it was ok.

Basic, clean room and bathroom at a very reasonable price. The owner is very polite and pleasant. Would definitely recommend this place to others while you're in Mawlynnong. There's a restaurant right next to this property offering nice, basic thalis which was convenient as there aren't too many options in Mawlynnong.

I had an amazing stay at the place. Mr. Malkishan is a very gracious host and he told me about all the places nearby and the history and culture of Mawlynnong. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. And the location is right next to the car parking and entrance of the village. Highly recommended.

Good quality stay with excellent quality washrooms and the behaviour of the host is too good!

To feel the serinity of this type of place we need to stay for a couple of days at least. We have spend 4 days this time and will come back for sure.

We had a pleasant stay at Mal's homestay in Mawlynnong. The homestay is conveniently located right besides the parking lot inside the main Mawlynnong village area. It has a minimalist setup, which is expected when staying in a village, and in fact allows you to explore and experience the best of what the place offers. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. The host, Mr. Mal, is very welcoming and hospitable. We had a comfortable stay, and did not face any power cut issues whatsoever. Head over for a night's stay here and explore the village.

The homestay was impeccably clean, surpassing my expectations for hygiene and comfort. The reasonable price made it an excellent value for the quality of accommodation provided. The friendly owner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, offering helpful suggestions and making us feel right at home. Overall, it was a delightful experience and I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone seeking a cozy and welcoming retreat.

The owner is hospitable.they have 2 large rooms, be it for family or friends or solo travellers. He was kind enough to give me a discount. I paid 700/-. nice room, clean, with geyser as well.
the home stay is just by the entrance of the village.
it's better to call and book a room before you reach the village, as network connectivity is an issue.

A proper homestay, managed by the owner himself and his family.

Situated opposite to the parking lot in Mawlynnong. The rooms are cozy and comfy for a homestay. You will get an experience of the way of people here The owner is a very nice guy and he even offered to guide us to the places worthy of visiting. Food was also great. Top marks in hospitality.

Also keep in mind that it is a village, not a city, so power cuts might happen and there are no backup power supply, neither here nor anywhere in the village. Light a candle and enjoy the serenity!

Its a basic but good place to stay. Just across the parking. The owner is very hospitable. The price is also reasonable. They will arrange dinner which is quite tasty. If you are looking for a place for night stay in affordable price this would be a good choice

We had a very comfortable stay here. We were provided with sumptuous breakfast also. Sir and his daughter both were hospitable to us. Highly recommended 💯 We loved the calm and peaceful atmosphere here. Rooms were clean. Washroom was also big and tidy. 🌻

This is a nice homestay. Great location, just in front of the new parking lot at Mawlynnong with proximity to multiple restaurants. Rooms are clean, the owner is nice and very helpful. Also the room costs are quite reasonable. We had a very nice experience here.

Located very close to the 1st parking lot. The owner was a very good person and very polite. Room was big, clean, enough space for 3 person. Toilet was clean, geyser eas there for hot water. Warm blanket provided. They doesn't have restaurant but one restaurant is located very close to the homestay so you didn't have to worry much about the food. Overall pleasant experience.

I visited this place in November 2022 with my friends where we had an incredible experience, we stayed there for 2 nights and truly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were neat with incredible service and even the homemade food was very tasty. Mr. Malkison, his daughter as well as other family members are extremely helpful and cooperative.

Great place to spend quality time. We booked for 8 people, but ended up 9 people. Owner is very humble and arranged extra mattress and blankets.
Room and washroom both were very neat and clean.

Me and my brother stayed at this homestay for a day and it was really nice. The rooms were well maintained and the property owner was very nice and helped us a lot. If you are going to Mawlynnong, this is a really nice place to stay.

This is a great budget friendly home stay, the owner who also handles the stay is extremely polite and accommodative. We also enjoyed the delicious food that was served piping fresh. I would totally recommend this home stay for individuals or groups that are looking for a basic, simple, village stay feel that is clean, hygienic and homely.
