A nice palace to visit. A memorial palace to remember Nazrul and Promila. But it seems the palace is not maintained by anoyone or government. Reconstruction of the palace is necessary to save this historical palace. No entry ticket is required to visit the palace.

Yes, this is a beautiful place near Jamuna River. However, you can visit the place with your family especially your babies so that they can learn about our previous history. Also, they can learn about rivers and the daily life in village culture.

Its esthetically a beautiful place to short visit.

This palace is locally known as Teota Rajbari and Teota Zamindar Bari. This palace is possibly over 300 years old. This old dilapidated palace was the home of two brothers named Babu Hemsankar Ray and Babu Joy Sankar Ray who were the ruler of Teota. The whole premise has over 50 rooms. Currently those are occupied by the homeless people.

At the Western side of the building, there is a large pond and beside the pond a temple is located named as Noborotno Temple. The temple is a four storied building having a glorious example of classical architecture. I have already shown in the picture.

The whole palace is situated just beside the bank of mighty river Jamuna. After a few miles from the palace premise, the river merged with another big river, Padma. The palace is a two storied building and from the roof you can easily see the Jamuna river.

This palace is the birth place of Promila Debi, the wife of our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Poet first saw her in this palace when he came here to visit Promila’s cousin Dhiren Sen.

Now it is an abandon place. Government need to take some steps to reconstruct this historical place.

Teota Jomidar house is a vintage structure that echoes relics of the past glory of our country's rich heritage! As far as my findings goes, this house covers the most land area of any Land Lord's house in Bangladesh! In every point the design will keep in awe and wonder what was the perpous of each structure and what type of people here dwelled in here! Another very important story is that our national poet Kazi Nuzrul Islam fell in love with one of family member and got married!

Teota Zamindar Bari is an ancient zamindar house and archaeological site of Bangladesh located in Shibaloy Upazila of Manikganj district .
There is Navratna Math and several other Maths. There are a total of 55 rooms in all the buildings. An inscription indicates that it was built in 1858 and was badly damaged in an earthquake in 1897

It's a heritage and historical Zamindar Bari Situated in Manikganj, near the mighty Jamuna River. It's historical in the context that Our National Poet's wife Pramila Debi was born Here.

However Upon the visit, It made me sad seeing the conditions. It seems like there is a huge lack of maintainance of this Historical. As It's near the river, it could have been a unique point of attraction if maintained properly.

It's an ancient palace at Teota, Manikganj near Aricha Feri Ghat. It has archeological value. It's the father-in-law's house of Bangladesh's national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

I visited this place (2 January, 2020) . This old dilapidated place is outstanding to see the old architectural design and how they passed their life with happy mind with large family. There are many small room. there are two or three building every building is connected with each other. Beside the Building a temple is placed which is also most Beautiful. Some portion and some stair have collapsed. If you go to the rooftop you can see the all side and you can also the river Jamuna. This place is beside the river of Jamuna. Only two or three minutes need to go the river Jamuna. A pity matter that Government don't take any step to protect this historical place.

also there is a memorial of Kazi Nazrul Islam. at this place he fell in love with Promila Devi at first sight glance. And he wrote "You sweet so I see, is this my crime." (তুমি সুন্দর তাই চেয়ে থাকি প্রিয়, সে কি মোর অপরাধ).

Loved this place. Visited in December 2019. It was the ancestral property of our family. Enjoyed hospitality of the local people. It needs immediate attention of government agencies for it upkeep.

The only disgusting part of ot was the smell of piss all around. Didn't feel safe as there was no one to take care of the site either. So many drug addicts camping there and making it miserable except of it's highly historical values. Enjoy the place but be safe

A wonderful place to go for a day tour, picnic with family or friends. For more natural beauties you have to look around the area.

This is an archiological sight beside the River Jamuna, a very nice place to room around and you can see the beauty of River if you had a minute walk.

We recently filmed a music video at the historic Teota Zamindar Bari in Manikgonj, a true gem that has stood for around 300 years. This remarkable 55-room house, established in the 1700s by tobacconist Panchanan Sen on a vast seven-and-a-half-acre estate, is a testament to the region's rich history.
The 75-foot tall Navaratna temple, constructed in 1858 right in front of Teota Zamindar Bari, still stands proudly. The estate features separate sections owned by Hemshankar and Jaishankar, each with its own Natmandir and the Laldighi house, which served as the inner quarters for the zamindars.
Notably, the Laldighi house boasts two shaan-banded ghatlas and a chora kuthuri or dungeon on its southern side. A captivating location for any visit, offering a glimpse into the past.

Teota Zamindar Bari is very important considering archeological and cultural issues of Bangladesh.
It is a historical Palace of Bangladesh as the part of british ruling part was there. At the same time the National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and Promila debi have their conjugal life there.
People made the house as public library now.
There is some meath about the Palace and it’s security.

The place is not that much known to common people. But it is near to Aricha ghat. The condition of Jaminder palace is getting worse due to no maintenance after taken over by Dept. of Archeology. It may become a nice tourist place if repair works done.

The once picturesque building is now ramshackle and grabbed by vagrants and careless visitors. The roof is rundown with holes and the ornamented pillars are worn out. Several staircases are also in ruins. Locals often bring their cattle to graze on the premises.
