Harry Hartog Penrith

Wow! I had high expectations for Harry Hartog in Penrith and it did not disappoint. From the moment you step foot inside, it's inviting you into another world. Great displays featuring different genres, a wide variety of books, staff recommendations as well as games and gift wares, there is something for everyone. After browsing the books, stop by the Cafe for a coffee and delicious treat. They even offer high tea! The coffee was good and scones yummy. Another visit had me trying their take away coffee and treat. Fast service and the flourless chocolate brownie, warmed up was delicious. Well done!

What a beautiful book store. Fabulous design and an amazing selection of books. This new store is just fabulous and it was great to see so many people browsing and buying books. I love that there are secondhand books on the shelves amongst the new and not separated. Genius idea! Friendly and knowledgeable staff who happily helped me find two books I was after. This store is worth a visit for the detail and fabulous vibe!

I live here now 🥰 Always a lovely, chill vibe. Staff are courteous and helpful. The snacks at the cafe are a great way to start reading the book you just bought 😊

What a great experience. Had the high tea in the cafe with a group of friends. DELICIOUS! Quirky menu in a book was a nice touch.

So exciting to have this wonderfully quirky and beautiful store open in Penrith! The store is stunning and has such interesting decorations. Despite the store being extremely busy (due to it being the grand opening), I found staff to be super attentive! They were so friendly and up for a chat on great book recommendations!

Absolutely LOVE this place . I strangely feel like I have to go almost every weekend as it feels so old school , I just feel at home when I walk in . Good bookshops are hard to come by now and this one feels like walking into a Hogwarts library or something ...
Very welcoming and sooo much cool factor from books if every kind everywhere, and the coffee's are great too . Even good quality well priced second hand books too ..
This is one of those places where I feel like buying something every time I visit even if I don't need it just to try and do my part to make sure they are around for a long time to come .

This was such a great experience and a great place for brunch/lunch. The atmosphere was low key and cosy. I will definitely be going back for another high tea. What could possibly beat cake + books?!

Walking into this bookstore was such an awesome experience, the layout is extremely easy to navigate, their suggested reads sections are spot on and inviting, there is a “book nook” area for all those avid Insta/tikkytok influencers out there.
Coffee from the cafe is a solid 10/10.
I did not try the other delicacies so I cannot contribute where the sweet treats are concerned.
Would recommend if you want to escape to a book lovers dream with a side of caffeine.

A treasure to have in Western Sydney.

The staff were very attentive and friendly, and had a great knowledge and recommendation for a product when we made a purchase.

I don't ever leave reviews, but the bookshop and café are excellent. A young man helped me a few times, and after a chat, it was only his second day, I couldn't believe how friendly he was and how much he went out of his way for me and everyone else as well. My only negative was that after 2 hours and 3 books purchased, I couldn't stay in the store any longer as the air-con was freezing, but that's a minor issue.

Ordered some second hand books online with these guys, dispatch and delivery was really quick, and the books were in great condition. Sustainably packaged too!

Coffee was superb toatie was yummy.
And Tara her customer service was fantastic such a beautiful lady.

Great food and coffee and atmosphere.

This is my go-to for good coffee, good books and good conversation. Only critique? Very hard to find books if you are looking specifically for one as no areas are listed in any kind of order except the anime section.
