Gewürzhaus Spice House - Chadstone

Love this place, they have a lot of spices and selections of salt. The shop is cute and they also sell some kitchen stuffs such as apron, tea towel, etc.

One of my favourite spice shops, everything is beautifully laid out, amazing choices of spice, they have delicious smelling teas too! Cute shop with nice staff.

You can buy by weight in paper bags, by the jar, or you can return with your jars and receive a discount when purchasing.

Today, I visited Gewurzhaus to buy some spice for my cheese. Unsure about what to choose, Lilla and Isabelle kindly assisted me in finding the perfect spice for both my cheese and sweets. I truly appreciate their help and kindness, and I hope to find them every time I visit for spice shopping. Thank you very much for your assistance today.

Found one of my new favourite shops! Beautiful spice blends and sweet mixes. Your Japanese Curry mix is divine. Please open a store at Eastland! Recommend for people who love authentic flavours and spices.

"Lovely boutique" if you're looking for a great collection of different herbs and spices and tea that will knock your socks off!! They have everything thing from ginger, to coffee& chilli bbq rub. Need I say more? Let's throw some salt in there, no quite seriously though they have 5+ types of salts from the norm, to the outright wacky (purplish red salt).

But wait you want more, you ask! They also have a range of delicious treats instore along with some pretty cool gift ideas.

Care to indulge your sensors? It's ok, we all do. The good news is you can give your smell receptors a sensory overload by smelling all the different mixes they have to share with us prior to buying.

The team is super friendly and knew their stuff, the lady that served us had a clear understanding of each concoction and gave ideas of different ways to use them. On top of this knowledge, the helpful assistant gave us some background knowledge on the greater business, This was a very welcome surprise!

The walls are lined with high quality spice mixes, infused salts and bespoke teas. Prices are high but the products meet expectations. The staff are conversational and helpful.

When you walk into this store the beautiful aroma of herbs and spices are tantalizing your mind. Loved the different varieties of spices available so many to choose from. I buy my spices from here to make my own ginger biscuits and fruit cakes this year I made my own steamed pudding and it tasted delicious the right amount of spices and thank you to the lovely lady behind the counter she was great help and very knowledgeable. 💕

I love this store!! Such an amazing variety of spices and seasonings and delicious things. I love that you can take a jar back in to refill too - that really appeals to the environmentalist side of me. We use something from this lovely shop almost every day in our cooking. Absolutely love the garlic lover’s spice, and the Christmas tea! There are so many things I want to try, there is absolutely something for everyone. And as a bonus; the staff are also lovely!

If you like to cook, then you must visit Gewürzhaus. The selection of spice mixes is amazing and makes it really easy to serve up super tasty dishes without having a full spice pantry. The service is excellent.

This is my favourite place!!! Literally my happy place!! The staff are so warm and welcoming as is every element of the store. Each item has a story and has tremendous efforts put into it. I love the fact that when you peruse the ingredients of an item, there are a handful and don't resemble a scientific experiment in any way. You can actually know and understand what you are consuming which has unfortunately become a rarity.

My favourites so far are:
Herbs de Provence
-This is a must by and has become my absolute go to! This herb concoction is of course perfect for roasts, chicken dishes, pastas and more. One of my favourites though.... Make a cheese and ham grilled pocket with a tortilla like wrap. Sprinkle a small amount inside before grilling and then a touch more on top. Unbelievably delicious.

Greek Grilling Spice
-As someone who happens to have a Greek background, using this spice on your cooking is as close as you're going to get to yiayia's cooking!

Northern Italian Risotto
-I have used this in red sauces for pastas and chicken dishes... Incredible.

Guacamole Spice
- WOWOWOW! This is amazing!!! Since buying this, I have not bought a single guac dip. Takes less than 5-10 minutes to whip up, that being the majority of the time, I am hand chopping and mashing the avocado. Couple of spoonfuls and mix... That's it!! This has become such a favourite, guests ask where I bought it when they try at my house.

Black Truffle Salt
-The tiniest sprinkle goes so far... If you haven't used this before, trust me... Start with a tiny bit and taste!! It will literally go on ANYTHING! Make yourself some fluffy scrambled eggs and gently sprinkle a touch on top.

Feel Good Hot Chocolate
-This is it.. right here.. this is it!! Typically when enjoying a hot chocolate in the evening, I need lots of water after because it's too sweet and leaves me feeling really full and heavy. THIS IS NOT THE SAME! There are a handful of ingredients in this item and I feel so relaxed and light afterwards. You get the most beautiful chocolatey notes but without the heaviness. I'm not sure if this is what it is supposed to do, if it was made for this reason.. But I always feel so soothed and relaxed in the evening with a cup of this fine concoction.

Mulled wine kit
- BUY IT!! You will never look back! I actually cannot stand mulled wine and always cop a massive headache after drinking some. This with the vanilla... something else. Had a sample in store and was hesitant but my friend who was with me told me to try it. I reluctantly took the tiniest sip and was pleasantly surprised... Drank the entire cup and bought a set!!!

I have tried so many of their items and could right a book on each. The above are some of my absolute favourites so far. I am yet to keep trying all the products. Bare in mind, that the price is obviously higher than supermarket spices and herbs. However, these herbs and spices are not washed down, they are packed with flavour and you don't have to dump half the container in your meal just to get the meal to bring out a nice scent. As someone who has previously only bought supermarket spices and herbs, I know about literally using a quarter of the jar just to bring out some green herb notes in a pasta sauce. It took me some time to retrain and remind myself that these spices and herbs are packed full of fresh flavour and just like fresh herbs, you don't need a lot.

Open again after lockdown. Staff still super friendly. They will do the spice scooping into a bag for you, or if you really want to do your own scooping they will provide gloves and hand sanitiser.
Getting menu cards with your spices is also a great touch to a fabulous little store.

Lovely place to shop various spices! Bought a pack of mulled wine starter kit and very excited to use it. Nice customer service.

Loads of gifts ideas, with kitchen nik-knaks!! Also a Tea, Herbs and Spice store, the different varieties and aromas, flavour will not be found else where. Its a hidden gem at Chaddy. The staff are very friendly and helpful, at every visit to this stores. Highly recommend this store.
