Hello Trader

It's always a delight visiting Hello Trader. Stocked with beautiful hand crafted designs and supporting many local creatives. Recently I've been chasing a really large pot for a giant fiddle leaf fig but was advised by Chelsea, the owner, that all her large pots had been sold for another store's fit out. She's kept her eye on her suppliers for me and even went the extraordinary step of contacting me directly to show me some pots at a nursery on the Gold Coast that she thought I might like and might be extra large enough for my needs. Now that's going the extra mile!

The most lovely store! My go to for gifts and anytime I need to purchase homewares for myself also. Customer service is always amazing and I am never disappointed with the quality of the products.

I've recently had a poor experience with Hello Trader and reading other reviews it seems my experience is not a once off.
I purchased some furniture items and did not receive any email or correspondence with information about the delivery. After I followed up I was told that there would be a 10-12 week wait before I could go and collect the items (around mid-December).
In mid December when I had not received any updates I contacted Hello Trader and was informed that part of my order had arrived but the other part would arrive in a few days and that they would contact me when it arrived. No one contacted me, and 10 days later when I again contacted them (all via email because they don't have a phone number ?) I was informed the other part of my order had been delayed. I was not given an estimated date of arrival but told they would be closed for almost 2 weeks over the Christmas period(!) I emailed multiple times in early January and when I finally received a response was told that I had to collect the items between Monday to Friday 9-2. Why was I not told this at the start? Most people who work normal hour jobs would never be able to make this work?
I will be avoiding this business in the future - their communication and customer service is terrible.

There’s no doubt the furniture this shop sells is beautiful but that’s the only good thing to say. Customer service is absolutely appalling. No one ever contacts you - you have to contact them. Even when it’s ten days past their deliveries arrival they still won’t reach out to you themselves. We received a damage table - split leg, two significant repairs to top and a mark on the top from mouse droppings in the packaging. This was September 2023. We were promised a new table in November. This became December. This became January and today I’ve been told it didn’t come on this shipment and will come in February. So I’m thinking it will probably never come?! Meanwhile I’m stuck with a damaged table in my house. Don’t trust this company with your money unless you can pick something you’ve seen up from their store the day you want to buy it. And then hopefully you don’t have any problems with it because you’ll get zero customer service after the fact.
