Hicksborough General Store

Lovely little lunch spot, located just off the Bass highway. Good quality lunch, good sized meals and a selection of food options that will suit everyone’s tastebuds. I like the eclectic mix of tables and chairs, so there’s enough space for everyone. I haven’t sat in the courtyard, but I did poke my head around the back, and it looked charming. The coffee comes with a decent kick.

This is our 2nd time here, first time was about 2 years ago. Place was crowded. Food is still good. Glad we came back.

The perfect fusion of country hospitality with delicious food at reasonable prices! Have been to Hicksborough over many years. The quality has only improved with latest owners. Seasonal menus with special deals in a garden setting make it the one of the best brunch spots on bass coast. Book a table in Summer!

Great food and friendly staff, one the best burgers around the area.

Korean chef, with great staff. They make awesome food which is always beautifully presented, he even makes his picked veg. We drive 40 min across regularly, always worth it.

Food and staff were both incredible, price is great and chef was delightfully kind and even greeted us at the table! Highly recommended, the chicken curry is a must try! Will be back soon!

I’ve been here a couple of times now, and though it always seems to be busy they do a really nice job. Friendly service, the food is good (very generous portions too) and they have good kids’ options.

Had a lovely cosy catchup at Hicksborough, lovely service, recommended by a dear friend, which offered a variety of brunch options with a korean twist. Also had the most filling big breakfast ever here, with various textures and bitesize portions, just enough to try a bit of everything. Slightly long wait on food as the lunch menu just started when we arrived.

I called in for a coffee with my boys this morning and sat in the gorgeous back garden. I had the most divine gluten free banana bread with my coffee. Although I forgot to take a photo of the banana bread, I did take one of the boys brightening up the cold dull day in their pink coats. 💜

The best Korean chicken salad I have ever had. Their house made cakes and slices are delicious and I have always had a great coffee. Their courtyard is a lively place to sit and relax for a while. Highly recommended .

Fantastic little gem. Very good coffee, everyone really impressed with the food and reasonable prices too. Decent vegetarian options. If I lived anywhere near this place I'd be coming often. Thumbs up for the calamari and Buddha bowl recommendations.

I’ve lived not far from this cafe for over four years now and only went there for the first time today. I had the breakfast brioche bun. Looked great and tasted great too.
Good coffee to wash it down with.

Lovely staff, pleasant atmosphere and great food! The calamari salad is delicious! All cakes and slices are homemade as well. I had the Apple crumble slice and it was yummy!

Had lunch this time we visited, Korean chicken was fantastic. Pretty big serves.

Friendly place with great food the Korea chicken is excellent, and the Bao yummy, when on the specials board. The homemade pies are sensational, and iced coffee.

Korean Fried Chicken burger is easily the best meal I have had in a long time. Absolutely delicious, will be back next time I’m in Wonthaggi!

The Hickborough Big Breakfast was amazing. Loved every morsel. The beautiful backyard garden was lovely and the service is very welcoming and friendly.

Ordered the Budda Bowl and the Big Breakfast. Both were delicious and very generous serving sizes. Coffee and smoothie were great too.
