Walking into Miio is a great treat - from the friendly welcome from Nina, Miio’s owner, to the unusual but practical wares she has for sale, to the artistic layout of her shop, and the light-filled space, which displays all the beautiful items for purchase. There is no pressure from Nina to buy - but see if you can resist! There are many items here you won’t be able to buy anywhere else in Newcastle, and with constant additions to her stock, you’ll be enticed back again and again. Nina’s artistic eye has meant the shop is like a small gallery - although you could be forgiven for misjudging its size from the street - there is a further room out the back - so even if you don’t buy anything, you’ll enjoy the experience of visiting.

This store is visually stimulating and there's always something I haven't seen elsewhere. I like the variety and feel inspired when I visit. i especially love the unique jewellery and items made from recycled materials. The items are all selected with purpose and meaning and it's worth asking more about the items when you visit the store.

Totally love this store. I feel good just walking into it. The amazing colours. Extraordinary selection of 'useful but beautiful' goodies. MiiO is quirky combined with world-standard design sophistication. Want something different for a gift - or a treat for yourself? This is the place. And there's something new every time I pop in. Nina is a delight to chat to and is the most caring customer service goddess ever. She also provides a styling service if you need some extra help. Highly recommend!

A stunning, compact store set out like a gallery by the gifted owner Nina. Her skills as a painter have translated into a little haven within the Hunter Region. A must see destination, and impossible to leave without purchasing a treat(s) for yourself or others.

I love this store. When looking at homewares these days so many of the stores stock the same things and are boring. Miio has a fantastic range of unique homewares that you won't find anywhere else in Newcastle. My first thought when looking for gifts. Every time I visit there is something new. Nina also provides fantastic service and care.
Definitely worth a visit.
