Tender Chook

Staffs are very friendly with smiles. Food 10/10. Definitely try chicken burger, it's good. Also ordered a medium serve of chips. Nice & crispy It was more than enough for two people.

I popped into Tender Chook for dinner on my way through Castlemaine, and I'll be remembering this one for next time! I enjoyed an incredibly tasty roast chicken and gravy roll and the most crispy chips this side of the big black stump. Proprietors very friendly too. Highly recommended!

Best Chook around! Always fresh, well seasoned and well cooked. Chips cooked fresh and salads are excellent. Happy to recommend! We are regular customers and are always met with a smile and great service. Love your work guys 🎉

Great experience everytime!
My favourite is the chicken schnitzel chips and gravy pack which I love for lunch.
It has a great friendly atmosphere to just sit down for a quick break from work and just chill while your lunch is prepared and then brought to you.
Always quickly prepared which is great for us with limited lunch time.
This is a family business were they take great pride in the quality of there food ,the way it's cooked and old school friendly service which in obvious every time I visit.

Good old fashioned, delicious, chicken and chips. The chicken burger was perfect, the chips crunchy, and the gravy was thick and rich. Can't go wrong👌

Whenever I am able, I will order a schnitzel burger on my way through Castlemaine from here. It's always delicious and the staff are incredibly kind!
The chips with cheese and gravy are to die for as well!

Excellent food and service, my family shop here for takeaway regularly, Efthimia and Paul do a really great job all year round, we can feed our small family for under $40, excellent, and I eat a lot.

Sometimes when people ask me where I live I just say Tender Chook because 90% of people understand that that means Castlemaine. A true backbone of the 3450 food experience, every experience here is worthy of praise. Thanks to the staff for their tender attention to food preparation. We truly are blessed.

The tender chook has delicious food and friendly staff, the shop is spotless. I would recommend this place to tradies and workers. There is only limited space to sit down but there is the option of either inside or outside seating. They make coffee and have some sweets options too.

Great Chicken and Chips and so close to my mothers place of residence, very handy for her and great when I visited Castlemaine. The Chicken is tender and the chips crispy and cooked to perfection.

Always stop here while visiting Castlemaine. The food here is delicious. Always friendly staff, quick service and plenty of options. Cant beat chicken and chips.

Do yourself a favour and get gravy on everything. chips? gravy. chicken? gravy. Some sort of other food? gravy. Just buying gravy? Get some gravy on that gravy. You won't regret it.
