Our family would like to let others know that we have always had great service for our Pets at Healthy Pets Castlemaine
Every Vet has been respectful and thorough and spoke with us at length about treatment options and helped our animals stay healthy As one of our dogs aged she developed many health issues and The Vets here helped to be as well as she could be and she managed her ageing well due to the Vets and our care of her Sadly at 16 years of age we had to make the decision to end her suffering as over a 2 day period it became obvious that her meds could no longer help her. Once we made our appointment we arrived and we’re immediately attended to and were treated extremely well with a great deal of sympathy and support from Vet Deen I hope I spelled that correct. We were allowed all the time that we needed and both our pet and all of us were made as comfortable as possible while we said our goodbyes. The receptionists are always very inviting and pleasant. We cannot thank you all enough for all your support through this entire process. We will continue to be your clients with our other pets and would not think of going to any other vet with our animals even though we travel from Maryborough to attend your clinic. Wow! Ok..background...so my spoo had gdv and had life saving surgery. My local vets saved his life. They are amazing. But he was thin and got an ear infection 4 weeks after surgery. His coat became dry etc...whole system down.
I heard about Bruce from a friend and was encouraged by my vet to go. I'm on a pension...so a bit trepidatious after the thousands spent on surgery.
This is the best advice on feeding a dog I have ever had in my 63 years. It's so obvious when you hear it...but we get attached to the notion of pre-prepared pet food being the best and we can get tunneled into finding our best choices are determined by what we can afford...not what is in the food.
Common sense...simple..healthy...totally affordable...and I can do it all myself.
Bruce is very approachable and supportive. If there is a worry about the nutritional value of what I will feed my boy...I can purchase a supplement.. which again I can afford. It's all healthy, natural alternatives to our commercial norm. There is everything from ear drops to probiotics.
Best decision to go there ever. I'm sooooo glad I did.

Highly recommend this vet! So happy we were suggested this vet. Bruce is very knowledgeable and works within our means , non judgemental and has a holistic approach rather than quick fixes like the traditional vets we have seen in the past with no success. I’m happy to say our dogs have improved so much with suggestions of change of diet, patience and care knowledge from Bruce. We will continue to travel from Melbourne to this vet :).

We were visiting Chewton for a weekend away when our pug got stung by a bee. We called to see if they could see us and were so accommodating. Once we arrived the staff were so warm and welcoming. They took great care of Zoe and I would highly recommend them.

Well what can I say??? The people are really lovely and genuinely happy when they welcome you on entrance, cost of procedure is irrelevant but very reasonable. Our dog Charlie however hates them because he came home missing two very important bits of his manhood 🤣 Overall great vets.

Jet my Jack Russell x is from Melbourne, he has visited Healthy Pets for a couple of years, he is not nervous at this Vet, l highly recommended this Veterinary surgery, the staff, Vets offer exceptional care for your pet.

We bring our dogs there anytime we have issues. Unlike some other local vets we have not had an issue getting emergency and non-emergency appointments which has been a huge relief.

Absolutely brilliant vet clinic. My staffy dog Digby sees Dr Dean and he has gone from being terrified of the vets to being relatively relaxed. Dr Dean has a wonderful ‘bedside’ manner and offers extremely good advice and care. We also love the girls on the desk. - couldn’t be more pleased.

The vet and staff were under huge pressure on Boxing Day, a public holiday, but this did not affect the care given to our very sick doggie.
Can’t praise them enough. Castlemaine is very fortunate to have this service. Charles

From 2006 until January 2019 Healthy Pets have been my darling Oscar's Vets, during a trying and difficult time for both myself and Oscar, the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to not only care for Oscars well being but also my own, for this a very big thank you. A very emotional decision was made to put Oscar to sleep, the staff where so caring compassionate and understanding. Oscars passing was filled with so much love and caring and respect.
