Thanks to Dan for diagnosing the issue with our car. There have been a couple of big dealerships that couldn’t or didn’t want to. I have found Dan to be absolutely straight up, honest and knowledgeable. He was able to find the underlying cause of the fault lights on the dash when no others could.

Extremely happy with my service!! Before seeing Dan my brakes were in horrible shape, the steering would shake and I had to plant my feet through the floor just to stop. He got me in immediately as it was highly unsafe and fixed it within an hour. Now it's smooth and safe braking and I feel confident in my car again. Thankyou so much!! Highly recommended!

Dan was great!
I drove from Sydney to Victoria the day before Easter break and found my car needed a water pump replacement.

With other mechanics being unavailable, I would have been stranded all Easter weekend without a way home!
I called AMEX and Dan was kind enough to take me in last minute to save my weekend.

He and his team went up and beyond to ensure everything was up and running within the hour. Would give them 6/5 stars if possible.

Dan did an excellent job I went to another mechanic before Dan and they couldn't remove a simple part and tried to charge me for no work done so I took my car to Dan and he was able to remove the part to fix my car, if you want a great mechanic that knows cars (especially harmonic balancers) then see Dan

Dan was recommended by a local car detailer & I’ve now taken 5 different vehicles in for a variety of mechanical work. From safety inspections, head gasket replacement and ball joint and drive shaft replacement, I have found Dan to be qualified, experienced, honest and more than reasonably priced. I highly recommend Amax Automotive for all your car needs.

I highly recommend Dan and amax. He really saved our holiday after an intercooler seal blew on our Volvo. Was able to get us back on the road inside a day without having to wait days for a part. All for a very reasonable price.

I get a couple of my vehicles serviced here. I have not had any problems. I feel that the guy is very honest and looks after his customers well. His shop is always tidy, clean and organised which is a sign of a well organised tradesmen. On the customer service I have received so far I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this business.

Dan was able to diagnose and repair my vehicle same day - even cleaned the car inside & out complimentary to providing his mechanical services.

Extremely professional service, easy to book in even though they are extremely busy, very good communication at all stages, called me when vehicle was completed, well explained what was done to my car, very easy to deal with and an extremely competent mechanic, you can tell he is knows about cars and enjoys working on them,
All my new cars are serviced by Amax as the dealerships charge way to much and use extremely inexperienced mechanics and apprentices to work on your car and charge out at full price,
Amax is the best mechanical workshop in town by far!

Took my Commodore wagon to Dan for a roadworthy. He did an awesome job and did all the repairs I needed to pass the roadworthy. He is friendly and very experienced in what he does with fair pricing .Highly recommend Amax .

We are incredibly grateful and fortunate that after contacting almost every mechanic in the area we got onto Dan. We are humbled by the grace and professionalism he and his lovely family has shown us during their time off and a very busy period where people like my family are travelling the long distance home. He went above and beyond our expectations and fixed our complicated car issues in less than 24hrs from start to finish which included personal roadside assistance and sourcing equipment and parts for a VERY REASONABLE PRICE in record time.

AMAZING!!!!!! -- AMAX must stand for Amazing --- heard about them from a friend who raved about them -- went there with a power steering pump that has a slight leak -- when was the last time you went to a mechanic and he talked about the cheapest and most effective way of solving a mechanical issue --- he was working out how I could SAVE MONEY!!! -- yet not compromise the quality of the repair --- certainly won me for life
