Watermark Sailing

We're regular visitors to Hervey Bay but very rarely do anything "touristy". I decided to book a sunset cruise on our last visit in June 2023 and it was just wonderful. We took my 91yo dad who doesn't get out much, but thought it might be good! The skipper of the boat went out of his way to make sure that dad was able to board the vessel easily and to make sure he was comfortable. So much so, he even gave dad his Captain's Chair! My father just loved the sunset cruise. He doesn't go out much during the day because of skin cancer issues, but he enjoyed this because the sun was going down and it was something he had never done either, even though he had lived in Hervey Bay for 15 years!
Thanks so much to Ian and Erin - your boat is beautiful and the sunset cruise was fabulous. So glad we went out with you guys and not a big commercial vessel. We all felt really well looked after and to see that smile on dad's face, just made it so worthwhile.
If you're visiting Hervey Bay, definitely seek out Watermark Sailing. If you live in Hervey Bay and have visitors coming, take them out on the boat! You'll all love the experience! You get back early enough to have dinner in town and make the most of a fab evening! I've already recommended Watermark to our neighbors in central Victoria and they've just booked in for their visit in August. Thanks Ian & Erin - we hope to travel with you again on another visit!

What a relaxing two hour sunset cruise in lovely Hervey Bay. Skipper Ian and crew provided a very friendly professional service - serving beverages, snacks and delighting us with hauntingly meditative Handpan music. ‘Watermark’ the stable, modern and comfortable 17 metre sailing catamaran leisurely cruised us amongst the myriad of seabirds and marine turtles - with the enchanting K’gari in the background. A magic, memorable and affordable experience! Highly recommended if you love to experience the beauty of this marine landscape with family or friends - and meet some very personable crew. Bravo! We’ll be back!

Had a fun sunset cruise celebrating a 60th birthday. From the moment we set foot on the boat to drop off we were made to feel welcome & relaxed. Thank you Ian & Erin for a special evening.

Our family had the most amazing sunset cruise with Watermark. Not only is the catamaran a super impressive vessel, Ian and his crew had all the details covered and were extraordinarily professional and cheerful. Cutting the motor and raising the sail just before sunset made for a glorious experience, and our family now has photos and memories we will never forget. Highly recommend!

We chose to do an overnight sailing adventure with Watermark. New to sailing this was such an invaluable and authentic experience. Relaxing with the wind in the the Sails, watching the Sun go down with cocktails, along with restaurant quality meals and anchored along the Island, then waking up to a stunning Sunrise and hearing the sound of Whales, this was such a magic weekend. One we won’t forget! Thanks again guys… you were awesome 🤩

Ian and his crew offer an amazing intimate experience watching the sunset over the waters of Hervey Bay. The hospitality is second to none and to have Mitch playing his pan drum on the cruise back into the marina was a unique way to finish off this relaxing cruise. Whether you are a couple wanting a romantic sunset cruise, a family enjoying a holiday, a group wanting to celebrate or a local wanting to experience our beautiful bay a different way, Watermark sailing is the cruise for you. I have been on a number of sunset cruises in Hervey Bay and this by far would be my favourite.

I had the pleasure of enjoying the half day voyage on Watermark for a girlfriend’s birthday. Wow, Ian (owner/skipper) went above and beyond to make everyone happy and Erin (crew) certainly did her part too. Great party with food, music, dancing, swimming and paddle boarding. Absolutely amazing day on a beautiful yacht that had everything. Watermark was clean and certainly presented extremely well. What a yacht! Ian and Erin conducted a perfect, respectiful and professional memorial casting of my daughters ashes during an extremely colourful and emotional sunset cruise . Guests were welcomed with champagne and treated appropriately for the occasion.

I have had the pleasure that is Watermark in both a sunset cruise and full sailing adventure. It is a stunning vessel with luxe style, comfort and is well epuiped for as much fun or relaxation as you desire. Watermark is not your regular boat, she is a vibe and one that will leave you buzzing with satisfaction.
