The loveliest stationery shop I’ve seen in all of Australia! Shelby the manager was warm & welcoming. The store had local & imported goods, anything from paper to pen. Even my family members who aren’t stationery aficionados would come back again :)

When I bought the wrapping paper I thought I was spending that bit extra for quality. In truth the paper is beautiful, strong and so well made. At the same time it doesn't rip when you are trying to wrap (so you don't end up using more), its a long roll so is in fact probably better priced than the cheap stuff from kmart.

I couldn't be happier and have just ordered more. Thank you.

An emporium of awesomeness! Fantastic stock-a lot of thought has gone into what is actually stocked here, all quality stationery and vintage items based around classic design and functionality. A great atmosphere, friendly staff and cool place to hang out and take in the inspirations. Will certainly be back whenever we are nearby!

Flywheel is a hidden gem and worthy of a trip to New Norfolk for any stationery lover but beware - once you've visited once you'll be looking for an excuse to return.

The staff are lovely and are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. They have a great range of premium pens, inks, papers and other stationery but its not all expensive - there are also lots of affordable options.

I could be wrong but I don't think there is a comparable shop in the greater Hobart area, perhaps even in Tasmania.

Flywheel custom made absolutely beautiful letterpress stationery for our wedding. The designs and finished products were classic, elegant, and totally personalised. Rachel kept editing until we were completely happy! So highly recommend.

Flywheel is an absolute gem! This lovely shop would grace the downtown shopping district of Melbourne, Sydney, Paris, or New York. The style and selection of beautiful paper, writing and drawing tools, notebooks and desk accessories are unique. The in-house hand printing workshop produces delightful cards and other goods - don't miss the presses in the back. The shop is small, but you will be surprised and delighted every time you turn around.

I am overly impressed with Flywheel, I have been looking for a linen thread that was fine and not able to find anything. I came across Paper Phine and their paper twine, I was delighted I could buy it somewhere is Australia. It arrived today, I was already excited to rip the package open and I was delighted to see it wrapped with a note.

Now I just want to plan a trip to Tasmania to visit the store.

An excellent stationary store, filled with the finer things in life! Stunning handmade paper goods, pens, wrapping paper, ink, wax seals, twine & ribbon, and lots more. Very well laid out with every inch of space packed with exactly what I wanted. Lovely staff too, and ready for travelers to find.

Walking into Flywheel Tasmania is like taking a step into an old world aesthetic. Carefully selected colours work to maintain an immersive aesthetic that serves to conjure vintage ideals, but all with a sharp modern sensibility. Every corner is carefully arranged with stationary products, cards or notebooks that all possessing an eye catching artful detail.

The staff are friendly and creative, offering personal service on custom orders such as wedding invitations, offering a collaborative process, artistic vision and true attention to detail that remains true to the muted colours and cleanly laid out aesthetic of all their products. Highly recommend giving them a visit if vintage is your vibe, or if you have an appreciation for talented Tasmanian businesses.

Ordered personalised note cards. Lead time was long and communication had to be prompted however so happy with quality of product I highly recommend!!

It took me back to my childhood to when my father had his printing and stationery business and I helped him, I then went on to being a printer but in offset, I was the first female printer employed by the West Australian Government Printing Offy. Thank you for your wonderful shop, I'll be back 👍
