New Norfolk Caravan Park

Managed to just get a booking thanks to the owners staying a but later at the office, thanks for the good yarn and hospitality, love your place and the surrounds a beautiful. Stayed in the roof top tent for one night. Quiet, respectful and polite folk there. Amenities were cleaned regularly and no extra charges on BBq and washing too! Not far from the river walks and lookouts, truly a gem of a spot. Will let all the kiwis know where to go around hobart for a mean sleep, cheers brother!

Park and amenities were clean. Park was quiet and within easy walking distance to town and the Cliff Walk. Park manager was friendly and accommodating. Will stay again

Very well maintained caravan park with friendly hosts 😄 Our kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the park & along the river up to the brand new playground.
The amenities may be a little dated but they are very clean.
There are lots of on-site caravans, however it was always nice and quiet & the locals were friendly. While the caravan park is next to the river and public walking track, we never felt unsafe.
A great spot for day trips to New Norfolk and not too far from Hobart.

Rick was so accommodating. He called us to check on our arrival time as we were running late. He waited for us and still smiled as we arrived. Great hot showers and beautiful location by the river. Very happy campers 😁

Stayed at this beautifully located Caravan Park with my daughter.Didnt want to leave.Pete and Di are in charge of this little treasure.Two lovely,kind people.

Absolutely beautiful views and nice fishing spot for families. Very friendly place.

We have just spent 10 days at this caravan park, really clean amenities and cleaned everyday. Staff are very pleasant and helpful, it is council run and they are doing a great job. Very central to the main shops and right on the banks of the Derwent River very quiet and peaceful.

Lovely clean and spacious amenities..large van sites..user friendly area. Short walk of 10 min to town and 15 min to woolworths. On the rivers edge with easy access walks to and from the caravan park.

Five star Stay, very cosy, compact everything you need cabin. Fully self contained, bed linen fresh n clean, towels and toilet paper. Nothing stingy, dingy or mingy here. Excellent customer service, comfortable and quiet. Love This Place! 😃

We rang late and the owner was very kind and left keys in box for us and said we can pay in morning . The park was clean and lovely. Thanks again as most parks close at 6 and won't do that

Great caravan park!! Very clean laundry, shower and toilets. Timer in shower for 5 min then you have to wait 15 seconds to start shower again. Lovely maintained gardens. Very pretty with walks near Derwent River. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved this place! Very clean facilities. Great value and service. The town has everything you need and in a great location to use as a base to visit Hobart and Mt Field. We will definitely return if we have the opportunity.

15 per night unpowered for myself and my dog...the caretaker is a really nice person and made the booking easy and simple to understand...this breaks it for me the caretakers of parks and reserves but absolutely no problems here..dogs all good on leash ...and keyed amenities and boom gate....right next to a river it's a beautiful area reminds me of northern NSW 20 years ago weather is good early February sunny and warm but not boiling hot or pouring rain ..... surrounded by mountains and a vibrant town this place has really good energy and nice dog owners in fact everyone l have met are really nice people.
New Norfolk is a great town council should be proud of the amenities and attractions they have established 5 stars ...

Beautiful location beside the Derwent River. A nice short walk to play equipment and the local swimming pool. The park is clean and tidy. Amenities need an upgrade but are clean and well maintained.

Close to New Norfolk town and also the beautiful river .

When we had car troubles, We stayed in one of the clean and tidy cabins, Peter was understanding about our predicament of not knowing how long it would take to get our car fixed and also offered advice . In the end we stayed 3 nights , the campsite is in a lovely location by the river and the town not far away. We highly recommend to all , the campsite for tents and caravans looks good too .

Super clean shower and toilet! Unpowered sites by the river very good value for money! Love it!

We love this caravan park lovely walks playgrounds close for the grandchildren great for riding bikes. Managers wonderful. Staff friendly clean amenities will certainly be going back. GAIL Norton -Smith

as for an earlier remark about Keys. thet r all registered. keyed alike. silly bugger. Peter an his Wife are good people. they have a secure side as well as they have in an out side with or without power sites. the secure aide is under tree cover. opposite the river. next to parks along the river. Very Quiet. well maintained. 5 min restrictions on hot water. but a 30 Sec cut out. which means no heat for 30 secs and start again. no fee for water. outside cooking area under cover. Laundry is Separate and at least 5vof each washers and dryers. 2 clothes Lines. 2 lots of separate toilets for both sexes. I helieve Peter and His Wife. own the local fuel service station too. A real nice place to stay. reasonable prices too.
