Having just spent considerable dollars having the auto transmission repaired on our RAM 2500, the last thing we wanted to see was transmission oil leaking at a great rate when we pulled up at The Salmon Ponds, near New Norfolk. A few phone calls and we had the good fortune of contacting “Danbar mechanics “ in New Norfolk. Instead of fobbing us off, they went out of their way to firstly supply us with suitable transmission oil to limp into their workshop, then to tackle our issue immediately upon our arrival.
Can I just say that at all times, everyone we dealt with were pleasant , very helpful and professional and a special “Thank you “ to Daniel who solved our issue and allowed us to continue our Tasmanian holiday.
I have no hesitation in recommending this business to anyone with mechanical issues. Excellent service, excellent work, even excellent charges👍😊

Had a small issue with a car I had borrowed from a friend so I took it into Danbar and they very kindly had a quick look at it, even though I wasnt booked in and they were clearly busy! They put my mind at ease so I could more confidently drive the car back to Hobart - thank you so much :)

These guys here were amazing, my daughter had booked her 4x4 in for a service and to have some supplied parts fitted. Upon picking the car up they had a detailed list of what needed to be done, however, the guy that looked after her went through the list and explained what would need doing next, what could wait and what was never really necessary but could be a preventative..also very affordable. I have never came across a mechanic in all my life as honest as this dude. Would highly recommend!

Another mechanic had diagnosed the car, however they failed to provide a quote for any repairs. Upon taking my vehicle to Danbar it was correctly diagnosed and the parts were fitted. Not to mention the correct diagnosis was significantly cheaper than the other works. Car now driving perfectly

Dani is a cool guy. I coincidentally met him when I called the RACT roadside due to a flat battery and the rest is history!!!! I changed my battery, did regular servicing and a headlight replacement... very reasonable price. Lovely people nice place, reasonable, to the point, no time wasting and no dodgy stuff.... I will do my servicing from there every time as long as I am living here in New Norfolk.... cheers...

A warning light came on whilst driving so we dropped in unannounced. Problem was fixed in 10minutes with a new fuel filter fitted. Very grateful for the quick and friendly service.

I had a breakdown on the drive to Maydena. I found these guys online, and chose them due to the google reviews. DANDAR were excellent. They helped me out of a tricky situation and kept me informed of their progress along the way. Fixed the vehicle well too. Thanks for you help. Highly recommended.

Daniel is the local Rac agent , he came out when our fuel pump went on our jackaroo . We figured we may as well use his garage for the repairs as well which he attended to the next working day ..
He has two other mechanics working with him and I think he has a good reputation in the local area
