Mewstone Wines

My partner and I had such a memorable experience here on Sunday afternoon. From the moment we set foot on the pathway we were greeted and taken to a table - gotta love direction! We did the wine tasting and had a cheeseboard. The wine was very tasty, and explained so well. The cheeseboard was exceptional and all pieces local. And most importantly, the view was spectacular - as the photos, mount Wellington, Bruny, vineyards, ocean and epic green grass! A winery that needs to be on everyone’s list!!

A lovely gem! Staff were friendly and relaxed and the wine was amazing. Can't wait to crack our Pinot Noir when we get home. Our boys had fun throwing the ball for Freya while we enjoyed the view and wine. Highly recommend a stop here along your travels.

Immaculate setting for a tasting session. The selection of wine presented was varied, interesting and all hitting the mark. Not to mention the service which was 5-star alone! Well worth a visit.

The view isn’t half bad either.

Mewstone wines has a beautiful modern cellar door which oozed sophistication (even boasts the best bathrooms in Tas) with a stunning outlook of the bay. Sofia took us through a great selection of wines and was very knowledgeable, insightful and funny. To top it off we got to cuddle one of the vineyard dogs Solomon. We frothed the vermouth and Syrah. Great stop, highly recommended.

Just wow. The most breathtakingly beautiful experience at Mewstone wines today. Prince was a fantastic guide on our wine tasting, we got to meet and chat to one of the owners who was so lovely and welcoming, we had a delicious tassie tasting plate and our kids had a ball running around on the gorgeous lawn and playing games. The views and architecture of the building are out of this world. Already can't wait to go back.

One the highlights of our trip to Tassie & by far our favourite vineyard (and we visited A LOT). The grounds are beautiful but the architecture of the cellar is absolutely stunning. The wine was so crisp & fresh, not to mention the personal touches/style makes every glass delicious. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to meet the owners Margie & Johnny (and their beautiful children & dogs) who truly made our experience unforgettable. Until next time, because we will be back!

An easy drive along the coast to Flowerpot to taste some of Australia's best wines. Suzanne, Jonny and Matt welcomed us and talked us through their wines, both Mewstone and Hughes and Hughes. I have been a fan for years and Jonny's wines are always great and ever improving. The new tasting room/ cellar door is a wow too.

Warm welcoming atmosphere with a great value tasting as well as views to die for.
Must visit when you are down south of Hobart. Will be back next time we are in Tassie.

Architecturally stunning place. Some of the best wines in Tas. Standard range is great, but their Mewstone wines are knock out good. Loved hearing about how they made their vermouth. Amazing friendly staff who were so informative and inquisitive.

We had a wine tasting. The staff were excellent and the wines were outstanding. Only disappointment was the fee of $25 per tasting which is applied irrespective of how much wine you buy.

Absolutely charming staff and beautiful wines - picturesque scenery while you sip delightful wines.
We particularly loved the aromatic vermouth and the wines were interesting and pleasant.

Served by the vivacious, knowledgeable and welcoming owner (Suzanne?). Breathtaking views and building is stunning. Dog friendly (even inside!) and kid friendly too. Wines were superb, the Mewstone Riesling a highlight. Great way to spend the afternoon, well worth the trip!

Mewstone/H&H wines are genuinely unparalleled and amongst the pinnacle of what you can find in Tasmania. The venue itself is incredibly beautiful, as are the vineyards and view. Owners and staff are extremely kind, and their passion for their product and story is obvious and infectious. A must-see for anyone who gives half a care about wine.
