We had such a magical morning here! The volunteers and caretakers are so friendly and passionate and the whole space is such a wonderland for young and old. Our little ones loved the fairy garden and the dirt patch. We had a ball looking for native animals and wandering through the sun lit paths under the trees. The education centre is amazing! So much time and effort made by the staff workers and volunteers who run the centre to make it such an engaging, accessible and welcoming place. We will be back!

Wat a wonderful place, I bought my 2 grandchildren here to see the fairy garden n wat a delightful time they had, first a play in the park n then off for a bush walk. We followed the walking tracks n came across the bird hide n looked for the different birds on the dam, then we came across a tree with a face n lots of fairies n mushrooms in a fairy new garden, which was to high for the kids to see so we lifted them up to see it. There was also a letter box there but I can't rember if it was for father Xmas or donations, then we walked over the bridge to find a butterfly garden n we spotted all the 🦋 ornaments in there n then there was the frog enclosure, plz close the doors after u enter so they don't hop out. We saw a couple of big ormamental 🐸 but didn't see any in there ponds but had fun looking. We carried on down the track n there they were, fairy's, gnomes, frogs, another tree with a face, Tinkerbell was even there and Peter Rabbit but ssshhhh don't wake him up. The kids enjoyed opening doors n finding surprises inside n realising the big mushrooms had gnomes underneath them. There was also an area they could play with tonka toys n cars in the dirt, there is a seat to sir down n relax on while the kids r having fun looking at everything. It was an easy walk for a 3 n 5 yr old n an unfit Nana. We used the restrooms which were clean, unfortunately we went later on in the afternoon n the nursery wasn't open. We had packed the kids lunches which they ate while playing in the playground. We all had a wonderful time n enjoyed ourselves. I'm so glad we saw it on Secret Brisbane n was spotlessly clean

This nature reserve is sponsored by the council and it a treat to visit for walks and nature spotting. It's filled with birds and has an attached not for profit nursery. There's a little fairy garden for kids, a small playground, and an information centre and toilets. I'll really glad I went.

A fave place to visit with the kids, from small to teens. Paths to explore, lakes to check out, the fairy garden and frog area is cute and of course we love the native nursery, run by the loveliest volunteers, for all our plant needs. Fave!

It's a wonderful resource for gardeners, with a huge array of native plants, and many helpful staff on hand to advise you on which plants may be suitable for your block. The plants are healthy and very reasonably priced, and encourage sustainable gardening suitable for spring or native wildlife. I happily recommend them!

Headed into Pine Rivers Community Garden today as we received a voucher from council, such an awesome spot. Have to say a big thank you to Donna in the nursery, her knowledge and understanding of the plants is mind blowing. So stoked with the natives we got, prices are really competitive and there’s so much to choose from!

Such a beautiful place to visit and create experience with you little one! The place is very easy to access. Few parking outside the track. There are few bird lookouts. I would definitely visit again with kids!

I love this beautiful hidden gem set amongst the bushland offerring spaces for the young and young at heart to explore, learn, relax and enjoy. The nursery is a lovely place to pick up a few native plants and the surrounding pathways, bridges and enviro centre is great but my favourite part of Kumbartcho is the fairy garden and suspensiin bridges on the far side. Its a beautiful setting for my kids yoga classes and I look forward to visiting and hosting more workshops in the future 😊🧡🧘🍂🧚💫🌳

Kumbartcho is an awesome natlive nursery and property to visit. I did the seed tour of their property and bought some native plants to take home like the lesser known cinnamon myrtle. They stock a wide range of native plants on Brisbane's northside and have expertise horticulturalists who are only too happy to share their knowledge with you.

Got the propagation workshop lined up next.

I recommend this place to everyone I come across. This place is hands-down the best sanctuary I’ve ever been to! We loved the interactive colourings, the fairy garden, the frog nursery and we even got to see a beautiful nightjar. This place is run by the most exceptional, kind and knowledgeable volunteers. A must visit for all young and old. Very accessible!

This is a fantastic sanctuary. It's perfect for families with young children who can take a walk and adventure through the bushland. It has a fairy trail which leads to the cutest little play area for the young ones. Lots of shady places to sit or enjoy a picnic. Also spotted heaps of turkeys building nests, birds and loads of beautiful butterflies. There is also a native plant nursery, bush tucker garden and playground. (The main building wasn't open when I visited 🙂)

This was my first visit here. It's a nice relaxing place to visit. Lovely nature trails, communal garden, a bubbling creek running through the park. Plenty more to explore

Very beautiful and well-maintained environmental centre. Has a nursery where you can buy plants and saplings. There are few lakes, fairy garden where children can leave their wish list, a hanging bridge above nice stream.

Went in for a free WildKids programme for kids organised by Moreton Bay Regional Council. It was the best Saturday morning spent in a while for us.Children learnt to use their senses to experience nature, bird and wildlife at Kumbartcho Sanctuary. We were well looked after by the guides and we learnt few survival skills.

I am delighted to have found the plant nursery section of this place. The native plants offered are well grown and described and are excellently priced. The staff were friendly and the horticulturist was fantastic. My visit was a look see and as they have an online catalogue I intend to select for a planting when the weather cools a little.
The display gardens are set out with a natural bush feel which gives visitors a concept of what those small tubes can be. There are walks and an environmental centre to explore next visit.
