BLUEGRASS BBQ at Eatons Hill

Bluegrass BBQ has outdone themselves – a meat lover's paradise tucked away at Eatons Hill. Each visit leaves me more impressed. The brisket is tender, practically melting under a rich, flavourful sauce, nestled on a bed of classic fries and paired with a fresh, crunchy slaw that provides the perfect counterbalance. The cornbread is a golden delight, its sweetness complemented by creamy, whipped butter – simplicity at its finest. And that burger? It’s a towering feast with layers of juicy beef, crispy bacon, and all the trimmings, creating a symphony of tastes and textures. Each dish is a standout, making Bluegrass BBQ a must-visit for anyone who takes their barbecue seriously.

Wow, absolutely delicious. Everything from staff to the food was wonderful. We will definitely be back. We had the Texas hoedown platter. A perfect selection to try everything. The chocolate brownie I received as a birthday gift was sublime! Thanks for an awesome feed. See you again soon!

Hard to give Bluegrass less than five stars. Excellent quality food and extensive menu. I was a bit shocked at the prices so opted for the cheap cheeseburger and I'm glad I did because it was absolutely huge!! Southern fried chicken plate looked great too and a nice selection of beers available. Staff very helpful and friendly. The interior could do with a bit of a facelift, or was a bit bland.

Fantastic experience! I was extremely impressed by the level of service we received. As soon as we arrived, we hadn’t even reached the door and was approached by a gentlemen who showed us straight to the table we booked. After we finished looking at the menu, we were approached straight away. While ordering we were given additional recommendations on drinks from a local brewery. Food arrived quickly and tasted delicious!

Would happily give Bluegrass more than 5 stars if I could...This was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. The food was amazing and plentiful, fed 4 adults with ease, the service was warm and friendly..and the Whiskey Sours were soooo good..

I took my husband for his birthday with our family. Cue for two was absolutely amazing, the brisket was my favourite, I'd definitely recommend it, very reasonable price $69. My daughter had the bacon double cheeseburger, wow it was as big as her head.
Great kids menu with icecream and topping included.
Great drinks specials on Tuesday nights $6 coronas and $12 margaritas, so good!!
Definitely will go back again. Very tasty food. The staff were friendly. And food came out very quickly.

The food here is amazing, especially their big bowl of Mac and cheese with beef brisket on top (pictured)! It was tasty, a good portion and priced well.
My husband had the Southwest burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The flavour and size were great.

We had the $69 meat and sides platter for two and boy was is huge. I wasn't expecting that amount of food, nor did it bother me.

Surprisingly the service is very quick even at 80% capacity we waited less than 5 minutes and the staff were friendly.

It had a cosy atmosphere and a family friendly feel to it. Prices were very reasonable for what you got.

The food was delicious and I took what I couldn't eat home.

Definitely worth a go if you are nearby.

good sizes for 2 people platters. you can also customize what bbq youd want in your platter. tasty meat and excellent service.

No photos of the food because it looked too good to wait, always delicious and always filling. Never had an issue with dine in or take away, quality remains the same either way.....just a heads up though, check the calendar for special dates (like fathers day) as they are generally booked out and no free tables for walk ins. We were super lucky that we got a table for 2 when we rocked up fathers day without a booking. Staff are friendly and the manager is always up for a chat :)

Have come back 5 times already while in town!

Booked a table for my husbands birthday. Easy booking system via their website. We had lovely friendly service by all staff from being greeted at the door, to ordering, to our server, and when paying the bill. The lady who was training a new employee and took my payment was so wonderful, so friendly! We ordered a platter for 4, the double cheeseburger and the steak. All were delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

**Visited again last night (18/11/22) to celebrate my sons graduation. Amazing service and food again. They also allowed me to bring our graduation cake in too. I still highly recommend.

Amazing place! Staff were absolutely lovely, lots of great banter and incredibly friendly when it came to questions, food came fast and was incomprehensibly delicious. Portions were great sizes for the price and the deserts were a beautiful way to finish the night! Would absolutely recommend BLUEGRASS BBQ and I cannot wait to come back!

Their meat is something special!
Brisket, ribs, pulled pork were amazing! We didn't really like the chicken wings but the rest was just fantastic!
The atmosphere, service, and price were great as well. We will definitely return for more delicious meat.

The special occasion was to celebrate my wedding anniversary and it was such an amazing experience. The food was so great, the meat just melted in your mouth and the Mississippi Water Baby was so fruity! ‘Cue for 2 was a good selection from the menu and allowed us to try a little of everything, and with leftovers too!

Couldn’t recommend it more, and a special shout out to Taylar (hopefully I spelled it right) who made the night more memorable!

Have been here before & once again didn't disappoint. Had the brisket dirty fries, pulled pork burger & pork belly burger. Staff friendly & knowledgeable, food bloody amazing & reasonably priced cocktails 🍸 with Pabst blue ribbon on tap. Come with family & friends or make it a date night with your hunny, you won't be disappointed.

Great service, atmosphere and beverages. Got to taste some whiskey that we hadn’t had before and it was great.

Bluegrass at Eatons Hill is the most pleasant restaurant in many ways. The food is excellent just as the staff are. We could not have asked for anywhere better to celebrate our anniversary. Thanks everyone. Keep up the great work.

Great food, even better service! Outside dining is good. Indoor is cosy and a bit more intimate. Table service was excellent! Haven’t felt so looked after for a long time. Definitely recommend!

PS. The only thing better than green grass… is Bluegrass!

Was really impressed with this restaurant!! First time visit, on a very busy friday night, didn't have a booking yet the lovely staff were able to accommodate my husband and I for dinner. As soon as you walk in the delious smell of the slow cooked meat hits your nose and the hustle and bustle of this small restaurant definitely gives off a welcoming vibe, from the greeting you get when you walk in, to the attentive staff and the dimly lit space with timber tables and hanging ferns off the roof.

We were seating straight away, ordered our meals and were pleasantly surprised when they came out hot, fresh and in less than 10-15 mins.

There are lots of yummy dishes on the menu to choose from. I ordered the pork ribs which were very generous in size, very tender and full of flavour with a side of chips, salad and a crunchy slaw. This meal could have easily fed two people. The only criticism I would give this meal is there wasn't enough BBQ sauce on the ribs as the sauce was soo tasty.

My husband ordered a burger which was also generous in size and chicken wings which were full of flavour.He mentioned that the brisket was slightly dry however this didn't take away from the abundance of flavours and the freshness of the ingredients. Price point was reasonable for the amount of food we recieved one entree, two main meals and two glasses of coke for $79. We will definitely be back to this restaurant.
