Sofra has been voted the best Turkish cuisine restaurant a few years running, No wonder why, Authentic meals fantastic atmosphere superb service. Try the turkish red wine or the full flavoured Turkish Coffee. With very reasonable pricing for the experience you jabe to make this a must dine experience when in Toowoomba

Five stars for a great service. Food was good too.
We were assisted by Shapna (sorry if I misspelled the name) who was very accommodating and welcoming.

We had the Karides Pide pizza, food was great and didn't have to wait very long for it to arrive. Loved the authentic decorations and the cool and quiet atmosphere. Would definitely recommend 👌

This fabulous Turkish restaurant definitely lived up to it’s 5 star🌟 reputation. The atmosphere, decor, and food combined made it a wonderful dining experience. The service was very welcoming and staff were all happy and friendly. We where seated upstairs at the most comfortable table I’ve ever dined at in Toowoomba. I’d recommend booking a table in advance as they are very popular. Important to note if you are going as a group that they bill the table and don’t split bills.

First time at Sofra Toowoomba and it was an amazing experience!! The food was excellent, service was great for a fully booked restaurant and the atmosphere as well.

We had the Dip platter as an entree, Oh my... That freshly baked turkish bread was to die for!!
I had the Musakka and my partner the Hunkar Begendi (sultans delight) which were both flavourful and delicious!
For desert we had the baked fillo with Nutella and pistachio.

We will definitely be back and can highly recommend to anyone.

I have only one suggestion, this is not a negative remark, but a preference..
If you are not comfortable sitting on an ottoman, make sure you book a table with normal chairs.

Sofra Turkish Restaurant was recommended to me when I was in Toowoomba and it didn’t disappoint! It offers a rustic and beautiful dining area, with very kind and polite staff. The food is delicious and tasty! We had the Chicken Shish kebab, Lamb cutlets, Musakka, Dips platter, Sebzeli Pide, and Adana. They were all really good; not dry! This place seems to provide a wonderful dining experience with a focus on authentic Turkish spices and flavors! Strong and heavy handed spices and herbs! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town!

Awesome food, super friendly team. Love their variety of food. Rich in both quality and quantity. This was my first Turkish experience and loved it.
Edit: I returned and still the same. Team was really helpful and food was yummy. I had the peach nectar drink while enjoying beef dish. it was a perfect combo.

A popular Turkish style restaurant with simple but balanced dishes, not overly spiced and portions were fair.

We had the Seafood soup, Hummus and bread, Kofte (Meatball)
Then two kebab meat dishes. Adana Kebab and Iskender Kebab. I enjoyed the entrees more than the kebabs.
The Iskender was different to how i imagined it reading the menu, sliced meat in an almost tomato soup on squares of bread soaking in the soup and dollops of sour cream.

Dessert was Kunefe, a crusty topped gooey and uber sweet baked cheese dish which had Baklava vibes.

The table water was very warm and not the best tasting

The setting was comfortable and the service was good considering it had been a fully booked night and the staff all very friendly albeit coming across as not very confident with describing the dishes, also I didn't notice the staff asking anyone how was the meal or offering any extra drinks etc but they were very busy so this probably limited their table time.

In summary, I would recommend for larger groups to share but for couples I think either the platters or just entrees would be advised to get a broader taste of the menu offerings.

My partner and I ordered yaprak sarma, sebze guveç, ayran and künefe. The sebze guveç was delicious that wish we could have more rice.

Yaprak sarma tasted different from what I had in Turkey, really miss the flavor...

Künefe was awesome I like it so much!!!!

Such an awesome place! The staff are super lovely and helpful 😊 The food is simply amazing. The desserts were really interesting to me as someone who doesn’t have a lot of experience with this cuisine - especially the Persian fairy floss with cream. Watch out that there are two dessert menus so made sure you don’t miss out

Every time I come to Toowoomba I eat here. The food is amazing cooked fresh full of flavour. We shared a pide and the mixed gill, it’s massive servings support this restaurant if you eat there must try the rose yoghurt drink. It’s mind blowing

Delicious Turkish food, the meats are really tender, juicy and flavourful. The lamb is amazingly not gamy and tastes great too! Pictured are the mixed grill (Karisik Izgara) and Barbunya. The sauce dips go perfectly with the meat and the lavash bread.

We were told that food at this restaurant was awesome and we were definitely not disappointed! Very yummy for adults and kids alike. Staff were awesome and very friendly - the opposite of what one of the previous reviews has stated so they must have hired new staff. We will definitely be back as this was the best meal we have had in a while! Thanks

Quite amazing Turkish food with a great atmosphere. The food is all fresh, delicious and the meat is tender.

It may seem a bit overpriced at first, but the portion size is large and with great variety. I was definitely full after just two meals. I recommend the Turkish Pides to share with the family.

Also please note that this restaurant is extremely busy so make sure you book a day in advance to ensure you get a table.

Finally a Turkish Restaurant which is actually Turkish. Generous portions and very good Food,as well as a nice Atmosphere and very friendly Staff. Highly recommend this Establishment. Anyone who complains probably can't cook themselves.

Today we decided to try something different, and I'm so glad we did! The food here is delicious and fresh. My daughter sadly chose something that was too rich but all in all we loved the experience. Wish we could visit this place more often, but living in Melbourne might make that hard lol. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Whenever I go to Toowoomba I go to Sofra, they’ve had consistent quality for several years and some of the best Turkish food I’ve had outside of Turkey. The service is always friendly and helpful and the food is great.

Nice food, atmosphere, staff, if you are in Toowoomba and like Turkish cuisine, you must visit this place. All the dips are awesome and mouth watering.

Great place. We ordered the Meze plate for two and couldn’t possibly finish it all. But we tried because it was so tasty. Service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great. Just beautiful food. Perfectly cooked and seasoned
