All the staff here are so kind and caring. Helena, Andrew, Julie, the super patient discharge nurse and everyone involved in the process go above and beyond to make an otherwise unpleasant experience as comfortable and painless as possible.

A very professional and clean day hospital, with super friendly and knowledgable staff. Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed here.
I felt very taken care of and in safe hands from the admitting process to the aftercare following my surgery. Would definitely recommend :)

Medical procedures are never enjoyable but the team at Samford road day hospital did a great job of keeping things as relaxed as possible. The friendly, chatty and knowledgeable staff made the process easy and a special thanks to Edi, my favorite nurse. 10/10

The nurses were fantastic. I think this was my first hospital visit since I was a young child. I really appreciated how much care the nurses showed from start to finish. They really went out of their way to make it known I was in safe hands.

Exceptional staff, exceptional surgeons, exceptional hospital.

Dr Tan and her excellent team extracted one wisdom tooth other specialists considered risky and difficult to undertake due to size, depth and nerve proximity.

Thankyou. You have helped me more than you probably realise.

tldr, HIGHLY RECOMMEND A+++

The nursing staff (especially Jess) and specialists were extremely friendly and professional, they made me feel very comfortable and at ease, they went out of there way to ensure I had all the after care information I needed and even walked me out to my car. I would definitely recommend this facility.

Good enough at the procedures, but if you need a medical certificate they are hopeless. Not just once, several times I had to chase and chase them

No social distancing in waiting room. The reception staff have a shield to protect them (excellent) but the chairs in the waiting room are jammed up against each other. None of the chairs have signs on them to indicate they shouldn't be used. I felt unsafe being in such close proximity to people and the small waiting area was completely full.

I am not usually one to write bad reviews but I had a pretty bad experience here and would not recommend this hospital to anyone. This was my first time in a private hospital and quite frankly I am extremely underwhelmed. The doctors were good but the hospital itself seemed very busy and disorganised. Also the judgement and poor communication from some of the nursing staff really made me feel like I was stupid and a burden. Even though I was one of the first appointments of the day the hospital did seem very busy and rushed. I came in for a wisdom tooth removal and made it explicitly clear in my admitting process that I wanted to keep the teeth afterwards for spiritual reasons. The receptionist, admitting nurse and the surgeon all indicated that this would be ok. Fast forward to waking up from the anaesthesia and I am handed the teeth only for the nurse watching over me to take them away for disposal because of “hospital policy” (a policy that none of the 3 people previously knowing this request had mentioned). It was not only the fact that they did not honour my request, but more the fact that they waited until I was in the most vulnerable state possible, groggy, unable to move my mouth or even speak properly, and in a room where they would not allow my friend (the person who was accompanying me to the surgery to take care of me afterwards) in the room. I was very visibly upset when the nurse was snatching the teeth away and trying to speak up for myself but she just completely disregarded everything I was saying. I understand there are infection controls that the hospital is responsible for but the fact that nobody informed me of this when I was sober and mentally competent, or even accompanied by someone to advocate for me leaves me walking away from this experience really angry and hurt. The feeling of helplessness from this experience has made me hesitant to ever trust a medical professional to put me under again. If they wait until I am vulnerable to disregard a simple request like that, what’s to stop them from violating other decisions I make about my body? The same nurse who took my teeth also was quite judgemental towards me when I asked about pain management for the recovery process, not completely unusual for medical professionals but I thought maybe recovering from a surgery would be an acceptable time to take pain medication. Luckily the doctor wrote a script but yeah, this was not a good experience. I don’t know if she was just having a bad day but you would think that if you go into private healthcare you would at least try to have a somewhat decent bedside manner. For a disclaimer the surgeon, anaesthetist and the admitting nurse were very respectful and professional, and the blond nurse who calmed me down in the waiting room was a saint, but even public system treats patients better than this for a much less hefty price tag. Save yourself the money and dignity and go to a different hospital.

I found the Samford Road Day Hospital to lack the professionalism the price suggests would be there. After paying $1100 to lay in a bed for an hour and get some medication post wisdom teeth removal they will not let a carer sit with you as it's "too squishy back there" but they will kick you out as soon as possible.

For the ridiculous price you're paying, with zero leniency they are too small of a facility with little empathy for patients or carers. The person I was caring for was undergoing her first operation yet had two people overwhelming her with inserting IV’s and heart monitors all at once. They seem to prioritise getting customers in and out rather than appropriately handling patients. I didn't even receive a call to let me know the person I was caring for was awake, instead I had to go in because I thought more than enough time had passed.

I'd recommend finding alternate options that will charge less and be more understanding.
