Ho Lin Wah Restaurant

Someone recommended this restaurant to me for a long time. Unfortunately, a few months ago, when I wanted to come for dinner, they were closed on a Tuesday. So today is my first time to have lunch here.

Una amiga mía y yo had lunch here around 12.30 pm on Monday arvo. A little bit busy at that time. We ordered Salted fish& chicken fried rice, Sautéed cuttlefish& vegetables with shrimp paste, and Stir fried Chinese vegetables in garlic sauce. And a hot milk tea for me mate, a iced one for me.

Food served quickly. Tastes really good. Pretty authentic Hong Kong style. Me mate used to live in HK for many years. It’s her first time dining here as well and she enjoyed the meal very much.

The staff is friendly and attentive. Thx.

Growing up there was this terrible Hong Kong style cafe near where we lived. Me and my friends went there all the time but the food is always so-so and the service was terrible. But we always went back anyways because we had no choice because it was the closest.

Anyways, this place is MUCH better. Authentic, consistent, and hey, no long lasting childhood trauma necessary.

This place always reminds me of food in Hong Kong. Love the service and the food! It's my go to place for my kids every week.

I have been to this restaurant many times and it never disappoints me.
Food is always amazing and authentic. Staff are nice and friendly, and the restaurant maintains good hygiene. The interior design reminds me a lot of the old-style cha chaan teng restaurants in Hong Kong. Highly recommend everyone to check it out!

I love this restaurant, a Hong Kong-style Cafe restaurant where the West meets the East. A great place to please everyone's palate. They have from traditional jook to rice noodle rolls from the East and on the same menu, you can order a club sandwich to spaghetti from the West. They have a good variety of vegetarian meals as well. Don't forget to ask about their daily set meals, which includes a drink, (extra 50 cents or $1 for iced drinks), a main and a soup for a very affordable price. Ho Lin Wah also has Hong Kong-style desserts, egg tarts are served hot and fresh or you can try HK-style French Toast. NOTE: IT CONTAINS PEANUT BUTTER. If you prefer yours without PB just ask the staff. I have never once disliked anything I have ordered from this restaurant. Their staffs are always accommodating and friendly. I believe most of the time if you treat the wait staff with respect, you most probably will get better service. I have brought many of my family and friends to dine here and every one of them has given Ho Lin Wah high praises. HK-style milk tea, coffee or the best one (coffee and milk tea) ☯, are rich and strong in flavour. (Note: HK-style drinks are normally quite sweet, if you prefer less sugar just let them know when ordering). It is a must-order in my book. This review enclosed better photos, my family thinks I lack photos taking skills so my beautiful husband has become my photographer. I highly recommend Ho Lin Wah if you are after something more than your local Chinese take away of (bright red, over battered) sweet and sour pork with special fry rice, come and pay this restaurant a visit. I have never been disappointed.

It is a very traditional Chinese restaurant and the interior decoration is like such restaurants in around ‘70-‘80 of Hong Kong.
Although the price is not high, the quality of food is very good, especially for the Chinese style fried noodles.

Such a cute hongkong restaurant! It is first time to try hongkong foods. Oh my got I really love beef macaroni tomato soup! Taste awesome !!! I would love to go again!

One of the best Cantonese high tea in Brisbane. Their tea set really suits the people they want some snacks other than the main. The tea set includes a hot drinks with a bun/ 2 egg tarts just $6.5. Highly recommended. If you are hungry, they also have noodles set which includes hot drink around $12.

Cantonese Hong Kong style food👍🏻taste good and most of staff speak Cantonese.

Good food and I most like Ovaltine which is rarely encountered.

Absolutely 5 star to the stir fried rice noodles with beef~~~乾炒牛河 best and good price! Driving from Gold Coast every week for this. But the service just so so.

Great Hong Kong style restaurant, makes me feel like I’m out of town. Staff are friendly and the quality of food are always good. Reasonable price and right proportion. It’s a good place for you to get a quick meal.
They do special meal in the late afternoon as well.

Honestly I couldn’t recommend any Hong Kong restaurants other than Ho Lin Wah as it truly presents original Hong Kong style restaurant dining experience. The recipes and menu are authentic and amazingly delicious, the interior details glows up the place and makes you feel like you’re in Hong Kong.

We ordered a dinner menu for 50 bucks. Large portions , yummy food. Restaurant was busy at 6pm, must be popular
